    Anthem BCBS

Well I wish I had more information for you. I am in the same boat, I have Anthem BCBS NH. I have sent in 5 years of weight history form my previos doctor (good thing she noted when I went in that I was dieting) so it shows ups and downs. Hopefully that works. It is still being reviewed by my surgeon's office before it gets submitted to BCBS. Good Luck.
  3. I like your ideas on how to cope when you are out, but what about at the office? I am not sure about where other people work, but there is CONSTANTLY food at my office. Brownies, and donuts, and cheesecakes. . . oh my. And once a moth we have pot luck and it is 100 times worse. I am not banded yet, but I know trying to be good now (I take little bites) that this is going to be the hardest thing for me.
  4. Hello. . . good luck with your surgery. I am also in New Hampshire and hope to be banded by the end of the year. Where are you having your surgery (Manchester or Portsmouth)? :girl_hug:

    10 LB Nightmare

I have a 10 pound weight loss requirement too. I didn't know how I was gonna do it. Then I found out about what my Dr. calls the Stage 2 diet. It will be what I am on after liquids post-op. It is 1/4 cup of plain yogurt and 1/4 cup of cram of wheat for breakfast, cup of soup and 1/4 cup of plain yogurt or sugar free pudding for lunch, and the same for dinner. Plus 2 cups of protien shake throught out the day. Sometimes I have have a real dinner (3 oz meat and 1/5 cup of veggies.). I have lost 5 pouns in 3 weeks and my hubby (also getting ready for surgery we hope) has lost his 10. Its not so bad and it is coming off. Hope this helps. :smile2:
  6. I have not been banded yet, but if things go like I have been explained by my program it will be 8 months. I have done all of my testing (letter of necessity, abdominal ultrasound, psych evaluation). I have been to the introductory session and one information session. I have two information sessions to go, then I get to see the surgeon. After that will be 6-8 weeks before my date. My program had a mandatory 10 pound weight loss before you see the doc and I am still working on that. My last session I was told the surgery is 1.5-2 hours and they make you stay one night. Hope this helps.:crying:

I think the reason you were recommended not to have OJ is because of its high acidity.

I have my fist weigh in on friday 7/11 and am really excited. Like you I want to start now. My husband and I are going to try a smoothie diet to take off the mandatory pre-surgery 10 pounds our surgeon insists on.
