    Month 2 Stall

Hello, So tomorrow I'll be 2 months post op. So far this journey has been great! I'm down 25 lbs since surgery, 36 since starting the pre op diet. The last 8 days I haven't lost or gained anything. I've been stuck at this weight. I average 850-900 calories, 85g of protein, 50g of carbs (total, not net), 40g of fat, and 80 oz of water. & I workout about 4 days a week. Can anyone offer advice to help break this stall? It has me starting to freak out a little about how long it'll be and I'm only halfway to my goal.
  2. I have my surgery scheduled for 07/15/2021! I'm so excited! I began implementing the pre-op diet (essentially low carb) that my nutritionist gave me today! So far a pretty rough day- I didn't realize how much I graze throughout the day. But I'm excited to get these habits broken, and take control over my relationship with food!

  3. I have my consult on Friday, and also have done a ton of research. But I'd love inputs from others who have had it as well- what's your best advice, tips, and tricks for post op life?!
  4. Hey y'all! I'm SO excited to go to my consult on Friday. They said I can get my surgery scheduled as quick as two weeks from now!! I'm so excited for amazing changes this will do for my health! I'm starting with a BMI of 32 (self pay), and curious what immediate results were like (1 month, 2 months, etc) for those who started with a BMI of about 30-35? I guess I'm afraid like everything else I've tried, this won't work as well for me (I know silly fear, but just being honest) and I'll just be stuck. Thank y'all!

Approval with a BMI of 32?

Awesome. I definitely have joint & chronic pain. A lot of my depression is based around my weight too. Thanks for your input!

Approval with a BMI of 32?

I didn’t figure insurance would cover it. I guess my question was more would a surgeon agree to do it with self pay?
  7. Hello, I was wondering if anyone in TX has been approved for the gastric sleeve with a BMI of 32? Since getting injured and being on depression & anxiety medication, I’ve gained 50 lbs in a year. I’ve always have difficulty losing weight, and I’m growing more concerned with the large weight gain + my families medical history of diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, etc. I don’t have an medical diagnosis other then endometriosis, pcos, & chronic depression so I can’t imagine insurance is going to cover me - which is okay I guess. I’m just looking for a way to get help because I feel like my health is spiraling.
