    Coffee

Does anyone have a post op restriction on coffee? My nutritionist advised 2 cups per day, but I usually do 3 or 4. It's how I get my protein shake in. It's too sweet otherwise. Is this just concern over dehydration or tummy stretch?? Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app

    Not Losing

Hi all, I'm approaching 5 months post op and really struggling to lose. I am between 600-800 calories daily, hydrating, 60 grams minimum of protein, getting in an hour of cardio almost daily... According to my baritastic app, I'm burning around 1000 calories from cardio. And I'm still bouncing around the same 5 pounds from my last post. Am I doing too much cardio? I don't think I'm building much muscle because I don't really have any muscle aches. I feel stuck and down and still have SO much weight to lose. 3. Thanks for tips, all. I'm eating simply and getting exercise in. My weight loss is slow but at least it's moving down. Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Anyone have tips on speeding up weight loss? I'm 4 months out and have only lost 2 pounds in last 2 months. I get my minimum protein and water in. I walk more than pre op, do YouTube exercise videos a few times per week. Calories are 600-800 per day. I don't get what I'm doing wrong. Help? 5. Edit. 281 to 276.2. I've been at 277 past 2 days. Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. An update - I increased my protein to 75 gram per day. I started seeing some scale movement from 281 to 266.2. I ate a little fruit and stopped losing. Should I avoid all fruit? Do I need more protein? Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app

    Concern

If is doesn't have a lot of blood, I think you're probably ok. Keep it covered, keep an eye on it, and follow up with Dr on Monday. Good luck. Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. I may not be hitting my protein goal. I've been eating veggie heavy soup and possibly over estimating my protein. I'll see if that's the issue. Thanks so much for everyone's insight! Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Hey Amilou, I'm only 4 months out, and they told me to stay under 800. I'm not really crazy hungry but do feel weak sometimes. Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. No, just cardio. At my 3 month check in they told me to focus on cardio. Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I'm having the HARDEST time telling if I'm hungry or full. I'm 3 months post op. Last night I had a little soup and a protect shake. 2 hours later, when try to fall asleep, my stomach kept going from hunger pangs to nausea like I ate too much. Is my brain confusing the signals??? No weight loss for a month... Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app

    Stuck

So I finally got a new scale and my weight is higher than I thought. I'm 10 weeks post op and I've lost 25 pounds. And I don't think I've lost anything in a month or more. Starting weight was 316 on day of surgery. I'm bouncing between 292 and 288. Is this normal? What am I doing wrong? I'm only walking at the moment for exercise. I'm between 800 and 1000 calories daily. How is my body holding onto it's excess at such a calorie deficit??? Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app

    Stuck

Thanks Arabesque. I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong because I'm bouncing between 292 and 288. Is that normal in a stall? Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app

I've wanted to join a gym but funds are limited. What exercises do non gym folks do? Currently I'm just walking but think I need to increase my activity. Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app

  19. So my scale has been out of whack for a month maybe. I just replaced the batteries. My last reliable weight would have been 295 about 3 weeks ago. Today it was 262. Is it possible to drop that much weight so quickly? I'm about 7 weeks post op vgs. Sent from my moto g play (2021) using BariatricPal mobile app

    Scale

Any scale recommendations? My scale is giving me numbers all over the place. I started around 330 pre op. Now that I'm below 300, I can't get a good number on my digital scale. My weight ranged from 295 to 277 this morning. I usually try to get numbers twice so I can get consistency, but that would be 277. Yesterday it was 288. I doubt I had 11 pound drop in a day. Advice? 25. I had this happen on keto in the past. 3 week long period due to fat loss. It has something to do with excess estrogen which tends to be stored in fat cells. I have only had 1 cycle post op and it was more normal than it's been in years. I totally agree it's likely hormonal and should calm down.
