  1. Post-op week 1 of Hianal hernia surgery. Day 1 of surgery body had 5 tiny 1/2 incisions just under breasts. Sent home 1 hour after surgery. Took a percocet ahead of pain and never needed another pill . Took Tylenol every 4 hours rest of day but had 0 pain , slept in separate room so I wouldn't disrupt husband and stay comfortable. Day 2 - 0 pain, no meds . Incisions healing already. Only 1 massive bruise from the blood clot shot in stomach. Days continued on with nothing but success. Facts : 0 heartburn or acid at night in throat, 0 choking to death at every meal. No more protonix medicine for heart burn. Ate regular food after day one even spicy. I suffered 3 years longer than I ever needed too. Next step is gastric sleeve in 4 weeks. So, stay tuned !! [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G981U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. For anyone who has to have hernia surgery first. I had it 5/262021 and I was shocked how easy it was. Had it liproscopic so 5 little cuts and I had a monster hernia. No pain except for the chest /shoulders due to the gas they use. But it went away today. So only 1 full day of feeling uncomfortable. Next step is the sleeve, ready to get it going but have to heal 4 weeks first Day 3 I'll be back working as I can work from home. So, only needed 2 days off. They broke up the surgeries due to the size if the hernia. Their words were it's a monster size so they do not want to put me at risk. Sent from my SM-G981U using BariatricPal mobile app

Had to do a diabetes consult and Dr signed off on surgery #2.so, May 26th Hienal hernia surgery and heal 4 weeks then move to next phase the gastric sleeve. Thankful my Dr. agreed that the sleeve with proper diet will take care of the diabetes. So, moving forward. Sent from my SM-G981U using BariatricPal mobile app

Week 1 clear liquids - Best go-to items?

Thank you! I appreciate any feedback as I don't want to buy a product that is gross, you're already recovering the last thing I want to do is recover from bad taste! 😝
  14. Hello All, I'm looking for guidance on the best go-to liquids for week one that will fill you up and taste great. Product recommendations please and Thank you! I have surgery May 27th and I want to make sure I'm fully stocked with products that help me get through step 1.
  15. Hi everyone [emoji5], I'm about to change my life for the better. After years of weight-loss struggles due to hysterectomy and hormones I finally got up the nerve to walk into a weight-loss clinic and forever change my life. Scary as it seemed the team at the center were and are beyond helpful and kind. Not only that but my Dr. Had bypass surgery himself so he knows all the struggles we will face. My greatest shock is I've suffered for 24 years with GERD and the Dr said you have a hienal hernia let's knock that out and get you a gastric sleeve and put this behind you. So here I am headed for scope and ultrasound next week then to the next step. Today I weight 236 at 5'4 yet I'm beautiful so I can not wait to find that hot mama [emoji7]just dying to be set free.
