    Post Op Bra Size

Absolutely, I was determined I was not going to buy new clothes but then it got really bad trying hold up my pants an walk bras were a problem it took me a couple of tries to find the perfect ones an underwear oh my gracious!! It is a great problem to have though isn’t it? I’m down 166lbs an still working on it 10 months out
  2. Hello all, it has been awhile since I have posted anything I have been just working on me. I am down now 166lbs . Still going but I have a been having horrible leg cramps all they the day and night. I calling my Dr tomorrow I feel like it is probably because I’m not exercising as I should or something I Drink 80-100 ounces of water daily Angie most every day I am very strict about my diet. Idotaoemy vitamins an calcium but something is going wrong.. Has another else ever had this problem?
  3. That is it exactly my feet curl under an the pain in my shin is just crazy. Thank you all I am calling my Dr on my day off an definitely going to try your suggestions
  4. I personally have been very fortunate. My portions are smaller an I stay away from sugar. I am 8 mos post op and I only have 71 more pounds to go to reach my goal. I watch what I eat but I have never been a big exercise person that part is a struggle. I am thankful for the surgery, I can walk an stand where as before I could not even stand long snout to make my own bed without a break. We go shopping an we can park anywhere because I am able to walk an stay walking for long periods of time. I work outside in my yard an enjoy family outings again. My biggest struggle is clothing right now as I’m in my weight loss phase I don’t want to buy too many things so I have been looking like a bag lady tied pants on with my shirt hanging off my shoulders. For this problem I am grateful
  5. I personally just went through the hair loss part of my journey. Mind you I had very thick long hair, I got worried as it came out in huge handful wads at times. I felt like a shedding animal but I can tell you it ends an then it’s growing back already. My hairdresser noticed it was thinner but nobody else has noticed at all. I was worried an watched a few videos an read a lot but in the end I just didn’t distress my hair any further than it was. I did not color it during that time an I didn’t put it up as that seemed to weigh on it an I had worse shedding after a pony or bun. That is just my experience an as I said it’s growing back already

    Successful post op gastric bypass

Many Prayers for a speedy Blessed recovery. I personally have no regrets. I did not have any complications in my recovery. I am only close to 6 months out but I am 125lbs down an feeling better than I have in years. I am thankful for this group, anytime I’ve had fears or questions this support group has been very helpful. Everyone will tell you this but Walk walk walk. A normal gas pain is intense but if you walk you will work it out. Take your favorite protein drink to the hospital and if you are on a Cpap take it as well. Biotene for dry mouth, Carmen or chapstick an your most comfy clothes for the ride home. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. I do anytime. I did have some health isssues an a lot older than you but I came thru just fine as I am sure you will!!! God Bless!!!
  7. I am a little over 3 months out from Bypass surgery and I am losing my hair by the handful!! I have very tho hair so at first I expected to lose some hair but DAMN!!! Thanks I think it’s time to visit my hair dresser. I have been scared to make any major changes until the weight loss is where I’m comfortable but I don’t want long stringy hair.

Pants Size and Other Bariatric Sites

I really hadn’t thought about this until I saw your post. I have been just going thru my closet an finding old clothes to wear. I decided to check sizes last night to my surprise I have dropped from a 34 to 28!! I have lost 102 lbs so far but I have only really seen the difference in my neck and of course being a woman lost my Boobs!! I agree that we all carry weight differently an will lose in different areas. It also depends on your exercise areas I think as well.
  11. Today I not only hit a big goal of losing 100lbs but I hit 102lbs!! 6 weeks out slowly but surly feeling stronger!!

    poop question after surgery

I had the same issue an did not poop for 9 days! I had to take Milk of mag and Dulcolax (per Dr) for two days. It finally happened and I’ve been going daily since. They told me not to worry about it that it was normal due to anesthesia and then pain meds but I had painful pressure. After the first time all was well

    Dry patches on skin

I’m going through the same thing. My Dr had warned me about it happening before hand an now it has hit!! I am constantly using skin healing cream an lotions.
  15. I was in for 2 nights, but mine was due to nausea. I work from home an have been off for one week an I’m taking a second. I agree it’s the fatigue an just instantaneous tiredness thy I’m battling right now. Learning to try everything to get protein an water down has helped.
  16. Well it has been 5-6 days wince my surgery!! I had to stay two nights in the hospital then went home in immense pain. Up until today I have not been able to get no real anything down. the most I got was 10 ounces of plain water yesterday. I can not take these lovely bariatric chewable vitamins, they made me sick immediately. I feel like a baby in that at 7pm every night I seem to get "colicky"!! I am 52 but am blessed to have a husband that does not mind burping me!!! :) This morning I am feeling stronger, I have talked with my NUT and gone over everything. I have taken two very long walks managed to get down 12oz. of water an some protein shake. I feel like I can see a light at the end of this tunnel. I am sure that I will have many more speed bumps but today I am strong!!!! Have a blessed day Everyone!!
  17. Doing so much better today!!! I followed many suggestions and given everything a try so I am close to hitting all my Nut goals daily. I swear after they took that drain out most all the pain disappeared!!! I am Thankful for this site an everyone who gives so much to others who are just now going thru what they have been thru. I’m up I’m walking I am 8lbs from my first big goal of 100 so back to the grind!!! Thanks!!
  18. I like that! I will give that a try Thank you!!
  19. Thanks! For some reason all flavors are making me nauseous. I spent months finding all my favs in water an protein only now to find I can’t take any of them! Now I’m watering down the protein drink with fat free milk so for today this works. 😀
  20. I am 3 days post op an miserable. I can’t get down the liquids I am supposed to get down. I’m in immense pain but learning to manage it. I can’t stand any of the protein drinks or water flavors I liked before surgery. I am reading everything I can’t to find tips to help me get past this point. Oh an the vitamins I’m supposed to take the rest of my life have made me puke everyday!!! Any tips? Any ideals welcomed?
  21. I’m having my surgery in the morning!! I’m 82lvs down so far and can’t wait to see what’s next!!!
  22. I have been on my preop surgery journey for 116 days!! I was doing really well. I was told my insurance requirement was 4 months of weight loss, weight checked by my MD each month. I had to lose 42lbs. I also had to go thru all the test, lab work, stress test, PYSC test, the whole Nine yards!! Well I did it and not only did I lose the 42 lbs. I was supposed to lose I lost 47! I was super excited and ready….. Then my PT advocate sends me an email she made a mistake, I have to do 6 months of weigh ins for my insurance so she will need two more months 'Thanks". I mean it was like so Nonchalant an casual like this means nothing! After everything it feels like a gut punch an now I’ve lost focus an I can’t lose a single pound an feel like I’m gaining. I’m down an don’t know how to regain my momentum!! I am terrified I am going to gain weight an then completely be told oh no sorry can not help you!! I know it is a mind set issue I am struggling an now I have a weigh in next Friday feeling terrible about it!!!!
  23. I got my approval from insurance today!! Yay now to get my date they’re calling this week!!!
