    Batch two:
First two pics is lomo saltado - Peruvian steak stir fry (fiancés plate) The other three are from a second cook out I had where I made carne asada tacos with a homemade tomatillo sauce, avocado sauce, and not in the pic but a red guajillo sauce. Also in the pic is cotija cheese and crema mexicana. I have more pics but I'll leave it at this lol I've also went to a few AMAZING restaurant while I've been away but as usual I'm still always asked if I even liked the food because I can barely fit anything in.
    And HAPPY BIRTHDAY @Starwarsandcupcakes!!!! ❤️

Welcome back @MarvelGirl25. Hope you have been keeping well. And happy birthday @Starwarsandcupcakes.
Have to take a plate to a small New Year’s gathering at a friend’s tonight. Decided to make sausage rolls. Cheated & used bought puff pastry. Wouldn’t get a handshake from Paul Hollywood but they look pretty good for my first attempt. Hope they taste as good too 😉🤞🏻.

    A mini charcuterie board, lol!
grapes, carrots, peppered salami, jalapeño havarti, truffle cheddar, and plain old cheddar. With some blue cheese dip on the side (i looooove blue cheese): 367 calories.
Totally intend to eat it all while i binge watch my latest series du jour (Outlander, lol…dont judge me!)

Coming up on 2 years post op and life has never been better. The gastric sleeve opened up a world to me that i thought would never exist. Ive learned so much about health, nutrition and exercise, that i wouldnt have if i didnt take the first step with the sleeve. I have a healthy relationship with foods now. I try to keep myself to the 80/20 rule. But i probably am closer to 90/10. Make good choices 80% of the time, and enjoy some of my favorite things the other times. Its funny tho, a lot of my favorites have no become healthy choices. So that makes life easier. I started this journey first just focusing on losing the weight. So for the first year i ran a lot and set a goal to run a half marathon. i completed that last may and then began to switch my focus to putting on muscle. This was hard because it meant i had to up my calories which for anyone in our situation, is a scary thing. So i bought a WHOOP strap and really dialed in how many calories i was burning and spoke with my nutritionist about a plan to get where i wanted to go. (whoop strap is apparently the most accurate fitness tracker out right now and ive found that my apple watch says i burn 800 more calories then the whoop says. just a heads up. IT wasnt easy but ive been doing it and got on a great routine. My lowest weight was 208. i now hover between 225-230. i weigh every few weeks but dont get too obsessed with the scale anymore. i know that if i stay within my calories that im fine. Its been a process and i had to learn a lot. it wasnt all easy but 110% worth it. This surgery opened a whole new life for me. I am extremely greatful.

Hi all. I am almost 4 months post op, have been struggling with cravings, and ate some stuff I shouldn’t have over the 4th of July. Yesterday I was logging my food into my Baritastic app and this quote popped up… it really hit me and has been really motivational for me to stay strong and keep making good choices. I just thought I’d share it with you all.

Hello! I thought I’d drop in and share a waffle recipe that I really like.
1/4 cup oats (I use quick oats, but rolled work as well)
    1/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
    1/2 small banana
    1 large egg
    1 scoop vanilla Protein Powder
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    splash of vanilla
blend all the ingredients together until smooth, then you can make it in a waffle Iron or make pancakes with it.
This does make about 3 waffles, so you can scale down the recipe or save some for later ☺️
You can also omit the yogurt, I’ve made it without the yogurt plenty of times. You can also substitute the banana with applesauce or pumpkin purée.

I have PCOS too. Dairy increased the production of testosterone, and since people with PCOS already have elevated testosterone-its just not a good mix.
