JordanM733 got a reaction from ms.sss in R.I.P. Boobs
This is what I'm looking forward to the most! I'm nearly 60 and cannot wait until I've lost the extra drifting boobs and had a lift, then I may never wear a bra again as long as I live! I'd like to be a nice, comfortable B-cup at most and call it a day. I'm not planning on nursing anyone anytime soon so no one will starve if my boobs aren't dangling and flattening across my chest when I lay down at night! lol

It is probably a good idea to have an assortment of things to eat right after you get home to maybe last a few days or more, but it depends on your situation. After the first few days, I was able to fix things for myself and didn't need to depend on my wife to bring me anything. In fact, I needed to be moving as much as possible, so it was good to be getting up and not be waited on constantly. I did stock up on broth and Jello and a few other things that went uneaten and eventually got thrown away. Honestly, I wasn't all that interested in food and nothing really appealed to me for the first few weeks, so once I found something that didn't turn me off, that's what I ate. So my diet was more focused on getting in Protein, electrolytes, and Water. I figured out the rest later.

I’ve heard that some people find their tastes change after surgery. I would really recommend you have some broth and Protein Shakes you like ahead of time. I didn’t prep anything - it’s a lot of trial and error as you move stages. I have not found that my tastes have really changed - I’m off of the soft foods as of this week and got my favorite dish from my favorite restaurant yesterday. Granted, I just ate 1.5 oz of the fajita meat with .5 oz of the cheese and a couple of spoonfuls of salsa - no tortillas, or chips, or anything else - but it tasted so good. And it will probably last me 6 meals or so!

that's a good idea. If others are usually dependent on you to fix meals, then it makes sense to do that ahead of time. You'll probably feel like taking it easy for a week or so, or if you feel like moving, you'll want to be able to focus on your own recovery and walking as much as possible.

I don't wear bras anymore either, unless I am going somewhere. I wear shelf bra cami's. They are so comfortable.

My husband misses my ginormous boobs. My back does not.

Its been over a year since I bought a bra (eff you Covid)....I just took my measurements and according to those, I should be wearing a 30C. At my biggest, I was a 38DDD.
Collectively we all could have pooled our lost boob fat and opened up a soap store.

I agree with OAGBPal. Follow your surgeon's plan during the weight loss phase - you can always switch to NOOM to maintain your loss (or lose regain, which is unfortunately fairly common) later.

Because I’ve been a yo yo dieter for so long I wasn’t willing to mess around with diets again- you can do it either way but maybe it depends on your history with weight?

I did it! 2/3 and am 9 days post op. The worst of it was pulling my back out, hoisting my body up in hospital bed. I hardly feel like I've had surgery now. I'm glad I did it and thank you for all your support.
