yeah - its normal. I just commented on another post about the week 3 stall. Keep doing what you are doing and your body will adjust and start losing more weight.

It’s kind of wild, to be honest. Some things are actually kind of funny. He was telling a story about a dentist they used back in their hometown. He was talking about how expensive he was, then he was talking about how he was having an affair with his hygienist, then he decides to announce how the whole town knew he was a “coke head” and he came in on the weekend once to fix my moms broken tooth “high as a kite on cocaine”. I was just sitting there like...why did you lead this story with the expensive part??

I did and wished I waited just a bit longer (I was about 3 weeks out). I was horribly nauseous and ended up throwing up quite a bit. I was nervous the whole time that I was going to hurt my stomach. I would have waited another few weeks if I had to do it over again.

People are free to share their medical information - or not. If people want to share they've had surgery - fine. If they don't - fine. I don't run around telling everyone I've had extensive plastic surgery, either. I'm having a face lift this summer - another surgery I haven't notified the world of - just my immediate family and a couple of close friends.

forgive yourself and keep going. I did that - the night before I was supposed to start the liquid diet - we went out to eat at a steak place, I had apps, even desert which I never have. Its done and over now move on and don't beat yourself up over it.

This pretty much except I brought extra underwear - which I am glad I did because I had a bathroom issue right after surgery. The nurse told me that about 25% of patients have a loose bowel movement after surgery.

SOOOO much of it is habit. They're giving us goodies for teacher appreciation week, and for a second each time, I'm like - I'll take one of these, and one of these... Luckily, my brain kicks in before I actually grab anything, but it is SOOO much habit.

I wore pants and was fine - they were Yoga pants and were not that loose to be honest and i was still fine.

I mean, I'm gonna give you my take on this, and it's just my own personal philosophy. I follow my plan pretty much 99% of the time, but pretty much nothing is off limits. I make sure I get all my requirements, but then if I want a dessert or whatever, I do have it on occasion. Now I am 9 months out and am allowed alcohol at this point but have not had it, but I also have NASH so I'm afraid to.
I think if you never allow yourself to have anything it just sets you up to binge on it later but that's just my own personal opinion and what works for me. I do much better by allowing myself to have something. That does not work for everything.
I do not have sparkling Water, which is forbidden from my plan, even though it is my favorite thing, but that's a whole other story. After a year, it will be allowed though. Other than that, nothing is completely off limits.

I waited 10 days and that was mainly because they are busy and they check the benefits under my insurance so they can have a real discussion at the 1st visit.

I had gastric sleeve surgery March 2021. I had food stuck at the stomach opening and ended up at the er and then an endoscopy was done at midnight. Don’t want to do that ever again.

Hi - I am new to the site. My sleeve surgery is scheduled for March 10th. Anyone else here set for March? I am super anxious but also looking forward to it. I had a lap band in 2009 and a slip in 2014 that required removal. Curious as to what your pre-op diet looks like. I am on partial liquids now and full liquids for two weeks before the surgery.
    Nice to meet everyone!

The stall is HARD! I've been on these forums for months before I had my surgery so I feel really prepared. I knew stalls would happen, but now that it's here, it's hard not to mentally beat myself up or question what I've been doing. I'm so grateful for these forums!

How do you know that you've "stretched your stomach"? Because most likely you didn't. You got used to larger portions and that's normal up to a certain degree. Dr. Matthew Weiner has interesting videos on this on YouTube.
But you did go to the planned appointments?
What "lies" did you tell yourself and why do you feel that you "didn't earn" your weight loss? Weight loss after surgery is nothing that needs to be "earned". WLS is a surgical therapy that is supposed to work for the patient like coronary bypass surgery is supposed to work for the patient. You don't need to earn anything here!
Having WLS is like learning to swim. You can read everything about swimming that's available, you can get lessons on how to learn the best technique, you can talk to people who have learnt to swim until you're blue in the face - but you know what? Most of this stuff means diddly squat the moment you hit the Water for the first time!
I'm curious about the title. Tell us!
There are people who lost weight without exercising. Yes, there are many benefits to exercising like cardiovascular health, bone strength, uplifting your mood etc but if you hate it - you don't need to.
Stop acting like a sinner that needs to do penance, it's so damn destructive and will get you nowhere in the end. There's nothing to confess. We all screwed up with quite a few things in life.
Be kind to yourself, as hard as it might be right now.
