  1. I have Aetna and my doctors said it was 12 visits. It has been once a week for 12 weeks.
  2. Every time I buy groceries they go to waist. I will buy quick snacks like lunchmeat, cheese, veggies, eggs etc. I even buy those precut veggie trays like you bring to parties, so I don’t have to cut up the vegetables. I end up eating it for the first day, maybe the second day and the rest usually gets thrown away. It just seems so less appetizing after it has been sitting in the refrigerator plus I crave variety. Right now, I have a freezer filled with Atkins and Lean Cuisine – which don’t get eaten either. I really appreciate the advice and suggestions.

    Low start BMI

I haven't had the band. I am still undecided on what surgery I want to have but I wanted to say "Good Luck" with your journey.
  4. I started in November and had to do 12 weeks of weigh-ins. It depends on your doctor's office but mine were all virtual. The doctor started on a program with re-shape where I had a virtual coach visit every week but then towards the end, Aetna stopped covering it so the doctor's office would just call me and I would give them how much I weighed over the phone. Just make sure you do not gain any weight because Aetna will deny you if you gain weight.
  5. My doctor was saying I would only have to take a Vitamin B-12 spray so I was just curious if you have to take vitamins the rest of your life like Gastric Bypass patients because I have seen different things on here.
  6. Yes, that is normal. I did initial consults with two different doctors and they both did that beforehand.

    Beginning BMI 35 or under

Just curious, how everyone was doing. My BMI is 35 with no co-morbidities and I have been contemplating the sleeve. My doctor actually recommended the band for me but I have read all the complications and told him I wanted the sleeve but now I am wondering if I should go back on my decision. With the band, if I hate it I can take it out but with the sleeve it is permanent. He said the good thing with the band is if something gets stuck he can adjust it. So for those with the lower BMI, was it worth it to get the sleeve?
