Ate a piece of broccoli before taking the photo. Oops!
1 oz basmati rice, 3.5 oz chicken teriyaki, 2.5 oz veggies. I ate it all! Love when it looks like a huge plate of food, but it's a small desert plate that I used. lol

sugar-free meringue Cookies -- egg whites, cream of tartar, zero-calorie sweetener, and flavoring (this batch is vanilla marshmallow). Ready to bake:

    Out of the oven:

The number of cookies depends on how big you make them; I got 64 out of this batch and split it into 4 servings of 16 cookies. 19 calories for this whole plate:

    I had to google that.
meat, good. Fried, good. Mini, gooood.
P.S. I was staring into the pic and that second rissole from the bottom, second from the left started to look like a piranha face popping its head out of the Water. Now I can't UNSEE it.

I do feel so much better! Honestly. I still have a ways to go. 59lbs is total. I lost 25lbs before surgery. The rest is after. I’m a super slow loser (2.2lbs per week is my average) but for some reason this past week it was 6, and I didn’t do much different. Not sure why that happened.

My main thing I do is I take walks 3xs a week and I eat Protein first always. I incorporated healthy carbs due to my energy levels being so bad (so my NUT advised more healthy carbs) and I try for 70-80 oz of Water. I see a counselor to talk through stuff and that has helped a lot. Other than that, I don’t have any real different approach. I rarely eat sugar as it makes me sick with dumping syndrome.

I have my 3 month check in and I should be cleared for weight training.

Just hang tight! It may be slow going like mine is but you do start seeing the differences. I’m a newbie too—only 3 months. :)

Thanks so much for the tips, it’s all helpful!! I’ll be happy if I can consistently lose 2.2lbs a week. I definitely have to start a regular walking regime and try up my Water intake.

Thanks again and good luck at your 3 month check-in 😊

Two in one day! My husband and I flew down to Phoenix to visit a friend in her new retirement home. Dinner out tonight at an amazing steak house, and I’m loving the opportunity to show off the new bod ❤️

    Horrible admission...
I clicked on this post because I thought it said "dumpling" and I was like....someone has a healthy dumpling recipe? Do tell! Yep...food addict till the end. Oye.
    Please feel better.

I work with clothing and let me tell you all sizes are not created equal. Lay the pants that are loose on top of the other ones and see if they are actually the same width. Different brands, different styles will fit differently. I can completely understand your frustration! I am down 40 lbs and some things fit looser but other things fit relatively the same and I am noticing losses in weird spots like the side boob chub. Taking photos has been a huge help but I would recommend taking them every couple of weeks or you will start to overanalyze them and make sure you are wearing the same thing each time. I have a swimsuit for mine but I also have a dress I have always wanted to fit into...these last times I can't see the difference in the swimsuit but I can see the difference in the dress because now I can actually zip it up some.

Just have to be excited somewhere!! 50lbs down from December 10th when I started my 5 day pre-op liquid diet.
Having a hard time though. I can't really see a big difference in the mirror. I still feel just as big and discouraged as before. Mainly because I am still the same pants size. My light denim jeans are falling off of me and definitely need to be sized down. But the dark wash jeans, still fit! Same size and everything. If I am a touch bloated, they are too tight even. How does that work? I was hoping at 50lbs gone all of my pants would be huge. Stinking dark wash jeans are really kicking my mood!

Update: Oddly enough the dark denim that will seemingly fit forever, still fits. Annoying!
But, these where my FAVOURITE jeans in a 20 (highest size) and I skipped right to the 16s. They fit perfectly!! And ironically finally arrived in the mail the same day my 20's fell off in Walmart. Thank goodness for long shirts
Seriously though, a 10 inch difference in waist from 16 to 20! That's a huge difference

I am incredibly restless and antsy today. I think its because the sun is shining but its still too cold to hang out outside and I'm ACHING for summer to arrive. That and I have had like ZERO real exercise/activity in the past week cuz of a sore toe.
Sooo...decided to GET DRESSED. lol. Put on a pair of jeans (first time in weeks), did my hair and makeup (first time since xmas), even shaved my legs (first time since summer!). Put on a tube top to feel summer-y, but i got too cold soon after this pic and put on socks and a sweatshirt. Sigh.
The Kid when she saw me come out of my room in this outfit : "My, you look skanky today. I like it." She cracks me up. ❤️😂
Left pic: one of my stay-at-home-pandemic-uniforms.
    Right pic: Skankified.

CapK reacted to BayouTiger in Friend saw me for the first time in 3 months...
Hi y’all, I’m back for some support because I can feel mine waning so quickly it’s actually outpacing my weight loss. So today I got to see a friend for a second for the first time since November. (I’ve lost 48 lbs since then). She told me I looked “sickly” and “50 lbs is plenty” and that I was going to regret “butchering my body” in 10 years when I end up back where I started. She said all what I’ve done is undermined the hard work that people like her have put in to do it “the non cheaters way out.” I was actually stunned to hear those words uttered to me. I’m not trying to toot my own horn, but I’m nice to a fault, like I get told by people all the time I have no mean bone in my body. I didn’t have the guts to stand up for myself in that moment. I would never dream of being unsupportive of ANYONE trying to better themselves. So seeing people I’ve confided in and spent so much time with in my adult life turn on me for something that was done for health reasons that would have eventually killed me, has absolutely demoralized me. I don’t need to be coddled, but a little bit of “yeah we’ve seen first hand, your health deteriorate in the last 2 years, this is definitely something that’s going to help you so we’re here” would just mean a lot. But alas, I guess my expectations are too high.
This is my 3rd friend in 3 weeks to completely rail on me and tell me how dumb I am or how big of a failure I’m going to be, and I don’t think this isn’t the kind of journey that I can do on my own. I don’t know what to do, I don’t know who to confide in, and I don’t know how to convince myself that people are gonna judge and I’m just going to have to be okay with it. But I’m struggling. Never thought doing something to save my life would rid me of all my 3 best friends. And these aren’t co-workers or acquaintances, these are hang out every weekend, talk daily, been doing it for 5 years, type of people. How do I get through this? Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.
Sorry for being so long winded. If you read this far, thank you. I just needed to vent.
