I agree with you. I’m going to continue not to tell we all have a right to medical privacy. As long as we are supportive of others what we decide to do has no effect on others.

Different insurances have different rules mine required working with a bariatric doctor for weight loss. Mini me in TN required her to work with her primary care doctor( she’s on YouTube).

How many calories/carbs do you take in? What foods do you eat?( Walk in increments example morning 10mins, Afternoon 10mins, evening 10mins) Watching tv in a chair get ankle weights and do leg lifts. Many things you can do just keep moving it helps burn calories, but remember what we put in our bodies determines a lot.

You are doing great! I had RNY on 3/3 and I couldn’t drink Water period without pain or a nasty taste ( thrush) until the swelling went down week 6

Weight loss surgery is medical care and medical care is private. 🤷‍♀️ I encourage people to not be ashamed, but it's every person's choice how much they want to share about their medical situation.

I didn’t tell anyone but my boyfriend. Not even work knows. I just told my boss I was having surgery on 3/3 and that’s it. I’m not telling anyone either.

I’m doing great I’m at a stall I lost 54 pounds after surgery and been at a stall for 2 weeks grrrr. I hit my Protein almost daily with chicken, Beans, nuts, and of course Protein Shakes. Water is becoming so easy to drink now think God but I’m not at 64oz yet more like 30-50 a day. Calories are 600-700 a day sometimes it’s less if I’m craving veggies. I’m thinking about going vegetarian when I’m in maintenance I’m starting to hate meat. I can no longer eat artificial sweeteners so I invested in Monk Fruit extract and drink water which is a bit boring. I’m trying to find a good gym. I am very thankful for God getting me through because there were times I was in so much pain and dehydrated. I regretted the surgery at one point because I couldn’t drink water but now it’s improving! How much have you lost since surgery? It’s good you haven’t hit a stall 😞

Hello, I had surgery 3/3( gastric bypass) then bowel obstruction surgery on 3/12( surgeon obstructed my bowels during the first surgery). Yesterday I made 6 weeks and I’ve been good with my food no vomiting but I measure everything and I learned yesterday when my nose starts to run stop eating( lol). The only meats I’ve tried so far is chicken and salmon. I’m terrified of eggs( I’ve heard horror stories). I’m still working on getting my Fluid in I literally sip all day in between meals and still can’t get to 64oz. Maybe tomorrow I’ll start waking up at 5:30am. I’ve lost 44 pounds since surgery and 54 all together. This week I hit a stal 😞 probably because I’ve been housebound from all the rain. I’m still working on getting Protein and calories up it’s hard when you are not hungry 😞. I hope everyone is doing great on their journey and I would love to hear where others stand ❤️.

When your program says it’s ok to eat ground beef then yes you can have a hamburger no bun of course, but make sure it’s not fried hard and it’s lean. My tummy was able to tolerate it, but I just wanted to see if it would tolerate ground beef. I’m really not a ground beef eater.

Positive post for people living with diabetes and in the pre op phase. I became a diabetic at 29 in 2018 my first blood sugar reading was 329 A1C 13.5.I was put on meds metaformin and insulin, but changed my lifestyle and was running too many lows so was taken off. In 2020 I started to get real bad yeast infections( TMI) checked my blood sugar 521 A1C 11.5 scheduled an appointment with a endocrinologist was put on humalog and trujao soloster. After getting my A1C down to 6. I was put on Ozempic and trujao. Two weeks after surgery I was told discount all meds and that I didn’t have to see my endocrinologist anymore. Since surgery resting sugar is always 70 never below and after a meal in the 90’s the highest it’s been was 104. Sorry for the long post but I wanted you all to know my struggle. Btw I had surgery 3/3. I hope others who are undergoing surgery due to weight and diabetes get the same blessing!

Glad to hear you are on the mend and able to get food in without issues. I had VSG on 2/23, so far I've lost 45 pounds. I recently moved to soft foods which seems like the wild west of foods to me since there is so many more options. So far I had my first stall this month which has messed with my head a bit, but I'm hanging in there trusting that sticking strictly to my program will keep the weight loss coming. I'm getting antsy to get some new clothes (and will need new bras soon - the girls are going!) but want to wait until I lose another 15 pounds or so.
