What to do in the mean time???

After reading everything I think this will be the plan going forward. This will probably be a better option. I'm struggling with exercise because I have arthritis in my knees and it hurts so much to walk. I really wanted to do swimming as my exercise but with covid I don't think this is possible.

What to do in the mean time???

Hello, My surgery for December 14th was canceled until further notice with no date set at this time. What I'm wondering is if anyone is in my shoes and what are you doing in the mean time? I'm thinking about going on a 1500 calorie diet to get ready for surgery and then there is a part of me that is like time for some food funerals. Is there a middle ground for this? I'm going to start working with a psychologist the week to try to work on my bad eating habits as well as other thing. I'm wondering if it is a good idea to keep meeting with the nutritionist to keep me on track? If you aren't in my shoes what would you be doing if it was you?🤨

    Rescheduled Surgery

Hello, I'm from Minnesota all surgeries are canceled here until further notice. I'm a bit bummer because I finally got my approval on Friday. I was supposed to have surgery on December 14th. I got so close but the good news is the prior authorization doesn't expire until June 14th 2021 and my surgeon doesn't think it will take that long to get it schedule. I just pray it is sooner then later. Hopefully they find a vaccine soon so we can all go back to normal.

    Pending Aetna/Preferred One?

I didn't really think about that. When did you get your approval?

Does UHC Optum Wells Fargo cover everything?

Have you check your coverage? Try and get ahold of the explanation of benefits from your insurance. It should give you details on whether it is covered and how much it is covered. I'd also recommend to call them to see what their requirements are.

    Pending Aetna/Preferred One?

Hello, I'm a newbie here and I'm currently awaiting a decision from Aetna for gastric bypass. My prior authorization was sent and received on 11/6/20. I called on Thursday morning out of curiosity to see if they had gotten it and they had. They said it can take up to 14 business days and most of the time it will take that time. From what I've been reading a lot of people seem to get their decision back pretty quickly. I'm getting nervous that they will deny it and that I'll have to fight with insurance. I can't think of a reason they would deny it as I met all the requirements, my BMI is 62.3, I have severe sleep apnea, high cholesterol, PCOS, arthritis, and insulin resistance, My question is did anyone else's take this long to come back? Did you end up getting approved or denied? if they denied you why did they state they denied you? I'm going stir crazy with this one. I need this surgery so badly. 😓
