  1. I only had to do 7 days, by the 5-7 days everything made me nauseous. I drank water and Gatorade. It will all be worth it.
  2. I use the Baritastic app and it's amazing. It tracks everything and even sends you notification reminders to take your vitamins. Every possible food is in the database also. I was previously using MyMacros app and it just didn't track everything I needed to track post op. Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    November 2020 sleevers

No, the air went away in a matter of minutes but it was a very painful few minutes. My problem is, I'm just not thirsty lol, I don't mind the taste of water at all. I just never drank much before and I'm not drinking much after. A bad habit I'm really trying to work on. If Mio or something might work for you, you could always just use as little as possible and alternate between plain water and flavored? Also, straws may work fine for you.

I spoke too soon on the straws. I was fine for about 3 days but then I sucked up some air and the pain that immediately hit my stomach was unforgettable. So I'm over it. I'm still struggling to even get 40 oz of liquids but I'm trying.

YES! I lost 10 on my 1 week pre op, 10 1 week post op and then nothing for 2 weeks. Having a stall so early on got me down. Increasing my water intake is what broke it IMO. And I'm a straw addict as well lol! Hang in there, it will pass.

    November 2020 sleevers

I hit 199 lbs, it was so exciting seeing that number on the scale this morning. I'm also 4 weeks post op so hitting that milestone today was perfect! I'm down 25lbs even though I endured a 2 week stall already (ugh!). Those stalls are disheartening. My struggles are still getting my fluids in so I started using my (reusable) straws 2 days ago and that is helping. I don't have any additional "air bubbles" gurgling up than I did before the straws. I also struggle with eating too quickly and getting sick bc it gets stuck. I want to do 3 meals and 2 snacks but I realistically can't do that right now with my daily schedule. I have to do about 2 oz of food at a time (or less) more frequently to get it all in and to keep my stomach happy. I also had a hiatal hernia repaired so my esophagus is healing as well.
  7. No one knows about my surgery except my husband. I had to have a hiatal hernia fixed at the same time for GERD so that is the surgery my family and close friends know about. I have no interest in dealing with people. Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Breakfast ideas

Avocado with a dash of tahin and everything bagel, yogurt with berries, oatmeal with berries, cottage cheese with a dash of balsamic vinegerette, spoonful of fresh ground peanut butter, 1/2 protein shake...depends on the day and how much time I have. I left off all my egg options lol Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Post op diet experience

1 week clear liquids, 1 week liquids, 2 weeks soft foods, now I'm almost 4 weeks and I'm about to start introducing what I feel like. No red meat for 6 months, no alcohol for 6 months, no raw vegetables for 3 months. Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    800 calorie

I'm over here amazed you are getting 90 oz of water in. I struggle to get 40 oz!!! (Goal is 64 oz)
  11. I've heard of the 3 week stall. But I stopped losing weight at 1 week. I lost 10lb during my 1 week pre op diet and 10 lb the week after my surgery. My surgery was 11/30. I haven't lost anything since 12/7. I use a Bariatric app to track all my food/water/vitamins. My calories have gone up over the past 2 weeks (as expected) from around 300 to 600 and my carbs are higher than I would like (around 35 avg), but I'm finding soft foods are limited. I am not meeting my water goals of 64 oz. I'm getting about 30 oz. If I do too much moving around, my incision sites get really sore so I have not started walking but I do a lot house work and go into my office a couple days a week (not just a couch potatoe, like week 1). Anyone else experience this? Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Stall very early on?

Well increasing my water worked. I got on the scales this morning and finally lost 2lbs. My water increase isn't much, I'm still struggling and will continue to work on it. Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Girl, I started the morning of my surgery on 11/30. I was like WTF. It was not a fun 48 hours. Nurses don't get paid enough [emoji23] Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I had GERD before my sleeve and my dr fixed a hiatal hernia (Nissen) at the same time as my sleeve. I have small bubbles coming up and I'm on my reflux meds for a couple more months until I'm healed, but no more belching. Previously, I could belch anyone to shame it was so bad. You could simply try OTC pepcid if you don't want go to the dr right away. If that offers a little relief you might consider going in for an RX, GERD is not fun. Stall very early on?

Yes, I have a fear of eating too few calories. The carbs on the other hand, I would like to keep on the low end per my plan. Thank you for the kind words. Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Stall very early on?

Yes!! I didn't realize how little I drank until I started tracking it. It's probably been a problem for a long time. I will make this a short term goal and focus on my water not my weight loss.
  17. The only extra thing I bought was a food scale so I could properly track my food intake. I eat on my side plates and already had a ninja (although, I haven't used the ninja for anything pertaining to my diet over the last 3 weeks - kids like milkshakes). I use my food scales every day, my weight scales every day (already had them), and my blood pressure cuff every day (high blood pressure, already had it). Stall very early on?

I'm finding the soft foods are higher in carbs and calories unless I just stick to cottage cheese and protein shakes. I'm so ready to eat some grilled chicken and veggies! I'm also gluten intolerant so that limits my food choices. Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

Am i gonna puke all the time??

I have thrown up about 4 times this past week, but I'm in a transition week (almost 3 weeks post op) and have been introducing new food. I can't say if it was the new food or the fact I got excited and maybe ate it too fast. But you will know rather quickly. It's not a nauseous feeling, it's pretty immediate stuffed feeling. Yikes. You know your body, let it heal. I'm 12 days post op and today is the first day I'm considering a leisurely walk on the trails by my house. Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

    November 2020 sleevers

I am almost 2 weeks post op and I haven't lost any weight since 8 days post op. Very frustrating. I'm down 20lbs total so I'm trying to stay optimistic. I'm still too early to exercise or anything. My crazy head is looking at how to reset my 12 day old pouch. I need to have my husband hide the scales until January lol. I have the same ache in the stomach incision from laughing or using the bathroom. I wondered how long it will ache. You are not alone! Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

I never got one. I wonder if it's too late to bother with one at this point?

My official weigh in, being 1 full week post op. I have lost a total of 18lbs including my 1 week pre op diet. I still feel I am swollen, I tend to retain water easily, but I'm very happy. My first goal of being able to wear my wedding rings again has been met!
