I am so nervous. I am starting to ask myself if I actually know what I am getting in too. I have mixed emotions I guess, happy, nervous, scared, sad.

I so identify with that! I cried on the way to the surgery center and questioned my decision. Not the best time to question big life decisions lol. I worked through some of the fear and grief of losing food in the last couple of days. I'm doing SO well now! I'm two weeks post op tomorrow. You can do this! I am here if you need anything. Hugs

  2. THIS MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYONE AND THE COSTS ARE CRAZY
I am going to share this wasn't going to but there may be a few out there going thru what I was. I am male and you can see by my stats lost most of my body muscle and mass, I suck at eating correctly and find eating to be a pain in the ass. Drinking Water is not my thing either. So I mastered the art of smoothies loaded up with tons of Vitamins Protein and minerals. All home made with the best of the best ingredients and for the last year and a half have made these my main diet and try to eat when I can. So now what.
I have dedicated this Covid time to getting back some muscle and pushing the health thing to the next level. At First I thought this was a gimmick but I joined a Group called IHealth Naples. Free Free to google them.
I have been taking IV blasts every 10 days for the last 3 Months. I am amazed at the results. These blasts have pushed me up to the next level of health. So if you are trying to push the health even further I will tell you this is a great option. These little bags of health will change you - Prior to me starting I had issues with the hair on my head hurting, Dehydration and just feeling sluggish. Not any more.
There are these types of therapy locations all over so you may consider it. Let me warn you It is not covered by insurance and is costly. But for my I ate more then the cost of a Blast prior to surgery so I feel i Deserve it

What was your cocktail? I assume it was more than saline?

My surgeon changed my surgery date to 12/28. Sad but grateful. I start 3 weeks of liver shrinking pre op diet on 12/7. I’m so ready.

I am 12/29 and start my liver shrink on 12/7 also. So may mixed emotions and anticipation! What is your diet plan for the next 3 weeks?

  4. Surgery tomorrow. I’ve been strangely calm about this whole thing. Doing chores today and prepping for post op. My mom is coming for a few days to help with the kids. I’m over 20 lbs down from my highest weight. I really wanted to hit 250 before surgery but I weighed in at 252.4 this morning. I’m a little disappointed but I met the goal my surgeon gave me.
I'm jelly! Tell me all the good things when you can! I'm scared out of my mind.

  5. Hello! What counts as fast track? I am self-pay, so I just had my initial consultation on November 4, and my surgery is scheduled on December 1. I never thought I would be doing it within a month's time. Guess that'll keep me from overstressing for too long!
Sounds like we're on the same program. I am so jealous you're almost a month before me! LOL I can't wait to hear about your experience!

Hospitals here are still closed to visitors. My husband cannot drive me due to work. I’m going to have to rely on my unreliable mother. It’s stressing me out. I know if she doesn’t show/forgets I’ll still get there but I’m a planner and this is not what I planned.

Can you schedule a lyft or uber?
