Changingmylife2020 got a reaction from GreenTealael in Reassurance
Hi! My surgery also involved a hernia repair and went fine. Took no pain meds after 1 day hospital stay. went back to work in 3 days. little to no pain but very tired for quite a while. I am 4 months out now and have lost 104 pounds. I too wish I would have done it sooner. There will be some adjustments(drink slow, eat slow etc.) but it gets better quickly. Definitely worth it. Will change your life. ๐

the first couple of weeks are usually rough until you get more comfortable with the adjustment. Often drinking too fast, sometimes cold bothers people, sometimes hot bothers people etc. Your body will slowly adjust. I promise, It will not always be like this. There will also be another adjustment when you go back to eating also. Eventually it does get better as both your habits and your body adjust. Hang in there it will get better and be worth it. Hugs!

Changingmylife2020 got a reaction from Lisa Coffman in RNY Struggling Loser with no Thyroid, thoughts?
how is your Water intake? not drinking enough will slow your weight loss. also your vitamin's etc. are very important. I also have no thyroid and have been thru menopause with no hormone treatment. You are loosing 10 lb. a month which is not bad. Keep up what you are doing and give your body some time to adjust. It's been thru a lot. I also have hots and colds not sure why . You are doing GREAT just hang in there. ๐

Changingmylife2020 reacted to Tb613 in September 2020 update!
How are all my Sept 2020 friends doing?
My surgeon says I'm reaching his goal too quickly and I need to start bringing up my calories. I've lost 67pds since my surgery Sept 29th and am now 160. (His goal for me was 150).

Changingmylife2020 got a reaction from postsleeve120320 in 4-5 weeks post food consumption yucky feel
I cannot drink the Protein Shake alone anymore, so I make my Protein shake into a smoothie add fruit or Peanut Butter and ice it really changes the taste and makes it more tolerable. ๐

Changingmylife2020 got a reaction from mswillis5 in Surgery postponed due to Covid
Well food is doing ok. I am rarely hungry and have to make an effort to eat. Problem for me is I am used to drinking while I eat...which does not work. I immediately throw up. I am getting better by not having a drink near me while I eat. Then wait 30 minutes before drinking and small amount often after that).
Breakfast (8-9am) is usually a Premier Protein shake made in to a smoothie with banana or strawberry (so much better than plain and stays cold). Or Greek yogurt and a cheese stick.
Lunch(12-1) small chicken salad or shredded chicken with a little lite mayo and almonds or hamburger patty (no bun) with pickles
Dinner(5-6pm) beef roast or chicken with small salad or veggie
Snacks (11 or 3) is usually fresh fruit, yogurt or mixed nuts.
Protein is 65-85 day Calories 600-800
Every meal less than 1 cup. I am consistently losing about 15lb month right now. Little to no exercise (in a wheel chair). I am ok with slow and steady. Hope that helps. ๐
