I have been overweight as long as I can remember. Always the fat kid or fat friend. Even in high school I was a size 20. Life continued with a marriage to a great man (who supports my decision for VSG) and two beautiful babies. I would be lying if I said  food  wasn't the center of our existence.
Your having a birthday, graduation, death, promotion, baby, holiday all equaled a huge family dinner.
I want to break the cycle for not only myself but for my children. Life is about so much more than food.  
I started my journey for VSG in May. My insurance requires a 6 month doctor supervised diet. I am finishing my pre-op checklist this week and my 6 month diet check in is the beginning of October. Looking forward to continuing this journey.
