I got my sleeve done yesterday. Everything has gone smoothly thus far. I have experienced a lot of air bubbles and pressure in my chest. I have been walking around my house and yard to help release it. Last night I had to sleep upright in the bed to help with the gas in my chest. I am staying ahead of the pain by taking meds so I haven’t felt any excruciating pain yet 5 incisions on my belly

How did it go? Mine is tomorrow and I am super nervous. I have low pain tolerance. I am really freaking out now.

I have a low BMI and I had to pay out of pocket. BMI 30.

What was your starting weight with the sleeve? The dietitian and the doctor told me if would take longer, lol 6 months to reach my peak weight loss.

Met with the dietian yesterday. She said folks with a low BMI don’t lose weight as fast. She said it may take 6 months for me to lose 50 lbs. she also said the body will stall and not allow for too much weight loss. I am going to trust the process

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I just joined this group last night and you all have been very helpful. I am currently 186 and my goal long term weight is 130. My sleeve procedure is oct 7. I meet with the nutritionist today and she works with me for a year in my program. So ready to get this done next week and get in the other side of it all 🙂

Ok. Thanks. A 90lb loss. Did you gain any back? I can imagine you looked drastically different. For some reason I worried about what people will say but I do know it will be okay. Thanks for sharing
