it's not covered even if you have serious health issues? I dont know what you can do if they say its not covered. maybe sombody else can give u better advise. I'm sorry for you what a let down, good luck!

Hi Holly, Your right! I am on day 2 liquids. I am not used to this i keep going to just crab solid food (just out of habit) and have to stop myself. it hasnt been that bad really. I dont have to even think about what I'm going to eat lol!

i have been on celexa for about 9 yrs. off n on. I too feel like depression has a lot to do with my weight issues. I have read that celexa kills your metabolism! I also take wellbutrin 300mg for about a yr. i dont think it has helped me lose any weight. i couldnt be so lucky lol!

i have never heard of saline just going away after time.

getting back on the "band" wagon!

UPDATE- I just got back from seeing Doc. I was up 6lbs from a yr ago (she was fine with that). I told her I was not happy with the weightloss for past 2 yrs. I told her I know a lot of it is because of bad choices on my end. They gave me a fill. 1/2 of what they took out last time. I will be on liquids for 48 hrs. lol! Lets see how that goes (god help the hubby and kids) Anyway, doc said i have pretty much lost most of the weight they thought the band would help me lose. Sounds like I am on my own pretty much now. I still need to lose about 40 more pounds!!! AGAGAGGAG! I mean I should have less hunger now with a fill nad have to eat slower. I just need to stay away from BAD foods!!! So, I guess the band is not my magic pill I still have to work! I am very frustrated going up and down with weight,. They recommended weight watchers.

Vicki, I here ya on the up and down with weight issue. I have been going up and down with same 10 pounds for 2 yrs!!! hang in there girl!!! {{{HUGS}}}!!!!

ibbanded, I do not see my surgen often at all...this was first time in a YEAR! I think they would like to see me more often. They told me to come back in 5-6wks. I TOTALLY undrestand the HEAD HUNGER thing. I wish we could reprogram our brains lol!

hi dk, I know what you mean. i pick the wrong foods. i am hungry a lot though. seeing my doc tomorrow. we'll see. i am very depressed about not being abl eto lose more weight. I know 95% of it is in my head......which sucks!

WOW! You sound just like me! Banded Sept. 2008 . Started 220lbs lowest 170 ish. i have gone up and down with the same 10lbs for last 2 yrs. Last time i saw my doc I had unfill due to tightness in throat which was reflux. After unfill reflux went away. I am still not losing weight. I have evn considered having band removed. I feel like I dont have an over eating problem......I just eat bad food. I mean I dont make a habit of stuffing myself till it hurts. I dont know if the band was the best choice for me. I think i was deprerate and I got my band so fast! I am a big time emotional eater and the band doesnt take that away. Anyway, I am happy I lost what I have..just wish I could keep going. I go see my doc tomorrow to talk about what we should do next. GOOD LUCK!

ok...you have only been banded for less then 1 month. Right? Your saying you can eat whatever whenever? It is dangerous to do that in the first stages especially....you could slip your band. I know all docs are different but shouldn't you still be in mushy stage? I've been banded since 2008 and have only lost 50 lbs myself. I have been up and down 10 pounds for the last year also :-(. The band is ONLY a TOOL. We have to work it. Believe me there has been plenty of days I say "WHY DO I HAVE THIS THING!?!?!?" I do have to say I have kept off almost all of my weight since 2008. I would have gained it all back if I wasnt banded.....I believe. We still have to put our BIG GIRL PANTIES on & do the right things...eat the right things ect. It sucks and I've been there...I still am there. We all struggle with "head Hunger". I have to tell myself all the time "Nobody will fight this fight for me//////I gotta"! Anyway, give it time and after a few more fills you wont be able to just eat whatever whenever. :-) Took me about 5 fills before I had good restriction. Hope this helps! :-)

I was banded 2008....lost 50 lbs but I have gone up and down with the same 8-10 lbs for over a yr. I feel like i am out of control again!! Its always i'll start over tomorrow. I am a food addict....this is my addiction. I will always have to fight it....it will never end. I have to want it bad enough i guess. I feel like i dont even have the band to help me I dont know what my problem is...
