I’m 38 and it’s definitely going to be on my calendar. I just had my surgery last month, and my birthday is in May so I’m
Thinking year and half out would be darn close to my 40th b-day and I’m pretty sure I know what I want!!

Horseshowmom reacted to GreenTealael in Onederland! And a general question :)
I think its super reasonable to expect the weightloss you experience per month to start off large then taper down as you get closer to your lowest weight. But 8-10lbs *every* month might be rare although it can happen.
You may even experience erratic patterns that don’t look like a steady slope down but like steps (stalls or plateaus, but not everyone does) I have seen people make calendars that show their losses :

I hope the visual helps & congrats on Onederland ❤️

What is your win this week or today?

Just out of curiosity today I grabbed a pair of jeans out of the storage closet that I haven’t worn in 13 years, a pair that I never thought I could squeeze into, but they fit! I’m 85 days post op and wore a size 24 or 26 in jeans, this pair is an 18. They are a little more snug than I care for in the waist, but they easily went on, zipped and buttoned, I kinda of like mine a little looser and then add a belt, but they definitely it! This felt like a huge victory for the day, because I was sure they weren’t even going to pull all the way up!

You can get back on track. Anything that messes with one’s regular routine, the holidays, can make things rough. My surgery was 11/9, and I’ve been doing pretty good, I can ignore the pangs of wanting stuff, but my husband was off work for almost 3 weeks when our entire house picked up COVID somewhere, we don’t even go anywhere so we aren’t sure where we got that little blessing. Anywho, the last week he was home he felt good, but he couldn’t go back until he actually tested negative, and since he felt good he was home snacking constantly and it was really messing with my daily vibe. I didn’t want to exercise in front of him or walk on the treadmill, I was constantly pulling my hand back from a snack I didn’t even want but was merely there...it was tough. I was soooo glad when he went back to work and the kid’s and my day got back to normal. I’m in my groove again, but I get what you are talking about, and you can and will get back into the place you want to be!

They last approximately on average two weeks. Sometimes you can break a longer one by mixing it up with higher calories/lower calories/fasting to shock your body but at this stage you should just wait yours out. They're inevitable.

Stalls typically last 1-3 weeks, but they can be longer. It varies from one person to the next, so there's no telling how long it will be for you.
There's a lot of superstition around how to break a stall, but really, the only thing you can do is be patient. It's just your body catching up with all of the changes. Keep following the program and your weight loss will resume.
Have you lost 56 pounds since your surgery, or was some of that before surgery? If that was all since surgery, 56 pounds in less than 2 months is fantastic! But on the flip side, losing so much so fast means that your body has a lot of catching up to do.

I was thin when I was teen, but that was 20 years ago. I danced, I sang, I showed horses, heck I did beauty pageants...it all seems so long ago

What I miss most though, not just being a horse show mom, but showing myself. I have been so embarrassed about my weight for so long I quit showing, and I was fortunate enough to have been very very good at it. It was what made my world turn from morning to night, and I miss participating as an actual showman tremendously, but not anymore. I will be back
In the ring showing this coming year. To say I’m extremely excited is an understatement.

Yes, I gifted myself new Art supplies for my new Art Desk and Raycon wireless earbuds so I can listen to an audiobook while painting or drawing and maybe start a You Tube channel or something! (I am out of work due to the Covid thing. I was a Daycare Teacher) I am trying to get inspired to do something new and different with my life and not go back to the old/bad ways from BEFORE 😉😁

I’ve always wanted to have a large collection of coats/jackets to wear as accessories.
I’ve always wanted to be able to cross my legs comfortably.
I’ve always wanted to be able to take pictures from any angle and not hate them.

    I can’t wait!

My biggest gift to myself is my upcoming sleeve on the 22nd!
I also LOVE headphones, I wear them to walk, mow the grass (and we have a mini farm so we mow A LOT), Zumba...so dh got me some apple air pods. I’m a loyal Apple fan. Phone, MacBook, iPad, Apple Watch kind of people so they were fitting. I love my Apple Watch. I have the 3rd generation and it’s still going strong. I have no complaints! I like it when I take the kids to the Y, I can sit in the pool with the little ones and still get my text and stuff without having to worry about it ruining getting wet!

Yeah, it's on sale on Amazon, too. I'm hoping someone in my family takes advantage of the good price and buys it for me for Christmas! We all just buy stuff from one another's wish lists, so I have to put some things on my list for people to buy me. If not, I figure it will probably go on sale again around New Year's. I've already spent waaaaaaaay too much money on Black Friday shopping.
