Okay, yes sorry those aren't the ones I got so disregard my advice lol. I checked and what I had bought was Dymatize ISO100.

If you are talking about the Iso100 Clear drinks I have been using them. I don't particularly enjoy the taste though. To me they are sickeningly sweet, but I drink on anyway because I need to get the Protein in. Of course I don't mind powders, but everyone is different. If there is a way for you to maybe try one or two first and then get more if you don't mind them I would do that. I got a variety pack thinking I'd pick my favorite flavor, but I really don't see myself getting more of them.

    UPDATE!
Hey everyone - so I had my 1 month (actually, 5 week) appointment with the dietician this afternoon. She told me that "one or two Triscuits" with tuna salad or hummus would be fine. I asked about the Quest Protein chips and she told me to avoid them but didn't really say why. She said, "You don't want to get your protein from there". So, I don't know what that's all about. I bought mini smoked gouda Triscuits and will try a couple slowly, knowing they are very dry and can get stuck. She also said Wheat Thins are a good option as well. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I bought them this morning at Target. I wanted to test them out before I committed to buying a 12 pack bag online. I just ate a bag with avocado! They are GOOD. I can totally imagine how good they'll be with taco meat!
I will be making tacos tomorrow.. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I can not believe I didn't think of that. I eat a bag of Quest chips every day (always Ranch flavor) and have for the past 2+ months! They're SO good.

Which flavor do you use for this recipe? I eat a bag of Ranch Protein chips every day. I am about to make another order right now, as I only have 3 bags left. I was thinking the taco variety might work well w/this recipe..
I am not the biggest fan of the nacho cheese flavor Quest -- but I don't like Nacho Cheese Doritos either, so it isn't Quest's fault - it just isn't my preference. I am thinking the Loaded Taco would work best for your nacho recipe???
Quest protein chips are insanely goooooood!

I love the Whisps crisps. Very low carb and that satisfying crunch. They are small but you could put your hummus on them.
Love your idea about "Bariatric Nachos"!

I'll second the Quest Protein chips - I'm just over 4 weeks out and was also craving something crunchy and "zesty" - Friday we made "Bariatric Nachos":

    1 bag of Quest tortillas
    1 oz of cheddar cheese
2 oz of ground turkey cooked with taco seasoning
About 1 oz of pico (tomatoes and onions)

Put it all in a medium oven safe bowl and cooked for about 4 minutes.

I ate about 4 chips and was MORE than satisfied. Everything i was craving in one small bowl. Husband ate the rest and also agreed it was YUMMY.

I eat Quest Protein chips... I just had some with avocado. Triscuits are high carb. Don't think they're safe for sleevers, at least in the early stages. Plus I don't think they'd go down very well.
EDIT: What about Whisps parmesan crisps? They might have a similar texture of Triscuits w/o the carb content? They definitely have a strong taste though --- which is unique... and many probably won't like them.

As an alternative to Triscuits, I loved these 34 Degree crackers. Low cal, low carb & actually taste good. They were a staple during my WL stage with Laughing Cow cheese.

Yes, bring it up with your Doc/Nut, and follow their plan. Following your plan, particularly early on, is where your success will come from.
If your Doc/Nut say it's OK, as with most things, small bites, chew thoroughly, then chew more.

almost everyone has that early stall. It usually lasts 1-2 weeks. Just stay off the scale if you have to. Stick to your plan, and the weight loss WILL start up again!

You are doing great, and are almost in ONEderland!! Congrats!!!
Sometimes the scale is generous, sometimes it owes you one! In my signature you can see my monthly tallies, and they went up and down, even though I've stuck to my program the entire time. Sometimes it's retained Fluid or Constipation, and sometimes the body isn't ready to let go just yet.
Hang in there, and keep doing what you're doing!

If you are completely following your program, as you seem to be, you are doing it right. Don't change a thing. The scale is lying to you.
    I should copy and paste.
I was too large for any scale but my surgeons'. So I couldn't do to me what you are doing to you. Yet, in month 5 I only lost 8 pounds. Grrrr. My Doc couldn't care less about my weight if I was following my plan and feeling well. For the record, the next month I lost my second largest amount, and I didn't change a thing. I also don't ever weigh myself except at annual physicals. I do what Doc did: I measure how I feel, am I content, am I on program. You know, the important stuff. Numbers on a scale? Not important.
There are a ton of things that can result in the scale not moving. By now, you've read about the ones both real and imagined. It doesn't matter. The scale doesn't matter.
Don't let the scale do you. You do you.

it'll start up again on its own as long as you stick to your program. No need to increase or decrease calories or exercise - just stick to your clinic's plan. And stay off the scale for a few days if you have to. Your weight loss WILL start up again.
as for 16 lbs in the last month, that's very normal. Most of us lose in the 15-25 lb range the first month. I know people often expect more, but I think a lot of expectations come from shows like "My 600 lb Life", but you have to remember that those people are starting at a MUCH higher BMI than the average WLS patient. For us more "normal" WLS patients, that kind of loss is the exception, not the rule. You are doing just fine!

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for the feedback and info. Sorry I didn't reply sooner - I was under the weather big time with allergies yesterday (still pretty bad this morning). Yeah, I don't know what affiliation - if any - she has with Unjury, but it seemed pretty weird that she was so firm on me ordering it. She was also extremely firm on me ordering the Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate chews (which I also did). The hospital I went thru seems really hung up on being anti-PP. Even the dietician who I met with pre-op denounced it. Anyway, Unjury and BA chews are on their way! Thanks again for all the feedback. 🙂

I'm not sure what you think I lied about - I didn't lie about anything. I went thru the entire program at one hospital, then changed hospitals 3 weeks before surgery. The reason for that is because I found a hospital much closer to my house, and the original surgeon was pushing me to get gastric bypass when I didn't feel that I needed such invasive surgery and was more comfortable with VSG. I only met with the dietician ONCE pre-op and that was 10 days before surgery for 30 minutes, as they were already aware I completed all of this at the first hospital. At the first hospital, Premier Protein was not only approved, but it was also encouraged, so that's what I was drinking. While the new dietician wasn't a fan of PP, she didn't say I COULDN'T have it. My entire pre-op diet, I drank PP without issue. I never went "awall" (it's actually AWOL - absent without leave) as you seem to think. Please don't comment, especially so rudely, when you obviously don't have the facts about my situation and are comfortable making false accusations. If you didn't want to answer my original post, you could've just scrolled by without being so insolent.

You can use any whey Protein isolate.

I might be slightly biased but Premier Protein shakes are not great for most bariatric patients. They have less than 1% whey protein! Check the nutrition facts. I was shocked too when I read them. With the poor choice of casein instead of whey as the main protein source, you might want to seek another source for your protein. Here’s a little article on this topic at https://store.bariatricpal.com/blogs/news/premier-protein-not-premier-for-bariatric-patients

While I was on the call with her, she told me to get on my computer and order it. She gave me the website, walked me thru to where the powder was located on the page, and then asked "did you complete the order?". She said she wanted to make sure I was getting it and buying the right thing.
