Kittizia35 got a reaction from Hop_Scotch in Maintenance?? Is it really possible?
Okay so I'm no where near "maintenance land" seeing as I just had my surgery on June 9th however I just wanted to point out that you shouldn't think of it as a diet. It's a complete lifestyle change, a change in your relationship with food. I'm learning that more and more everyday. Don't psych yourself out.

Hello. Don't be too hard on yourself just dust yourself off and keep going. Every day is a new start. I'm pretty sure that we've all slipped up in one way or the other. Just remind yourself of why you did the surgery in the first place. Remember it's not a quick fix but a tool to help us become the healthiest version of ourselves. I have faith in you 😊

Regardless of weight loss surgery you (and the majority of the rest of us) will not lose weight every week or month. Our bodies are not machines and we don't work to precise timelines.
You've lost 90lb in nearly five months, that is an excellent amount of weight to have lost in that time - even more excellent if you consider your stalls.
Set yourself some realistic goals, know that you are not alone in achieving a weight loss every week or month, be kind to yourself.

90 lbs in 5 months isn't anything to balk at. that's fantastic!!
and i understand the feeling of "i should be losing more!" but your body is doing just what it should. it's still adjusting to this new lifestyle and all the changes. you're 5 mo into a new lifestyle after spending years in another -- give yourself time. you're losing almost 20lbs a month.. that's fantastic.
also, try to not compare yourself to others on this forum. i tend to do that and it makes me upset.. however, you got this. just keep at your pace and you'll hit your goal. also, if you're afraid that you're stalling, change up your diet to include less carbs/more protein.. or just increase your intensity with your workouts. when i get back on track w/my diet, i tend to lose quicker.

Why do I feel like I have a stall every month? Is that possible? Maybe I'm not doing something right. This is frustrating at times. I try to stay off the scale but it's hard. Surgery 6/9/20 as of today 90lbs down. I feel like i should be losing more every month i stay at the same weight for maybe 2weeks or more smh.

I started at about 1500 after my sleeve and every week I go further. I am a month out and I am doing 7k a day now. It’s very hot, but it’s worth it. Just gradually increase your steps

It's hard. It's pretty hot during the day, so I just make it a habit to take my kids outside at 8. Once we're outside, I take off and walk the street. We don't do it everyday, probably 3-4 times a week. It's something. Believe me, I can be inside all day watching tv, but it isn't fair to them who are also stuck inside. Wish you luck, you can do it.

I kept everything pretty quite prior to my surgery. My husband and my parents were the only ones that knew. Now I have told my husbands parents and that's it. Still want to keep it close to home.
