  1. Sorry to hear your experiencing the dreaded stall. It stinks. Good news is my weight is decreasing steadily, about 2 pounds a week. I never had the big weight loss right after surgery. Guess my body said heck no, and is holding on for dear life..lol
  2. Age: 41, Height: 5’8, BMI at time of surgery: 42.9, Weight Day of Surgery: 282
  3. Seems like we are in the same boat. My friend and I had our surgeries on same day. She dropped 25lbs almost instantaneously where I’ve been stalled. Was really stressed and felt like giving up for a while. Since focusing on me and understanding my body structure is totally different, things have really turned around. Glad I was able to stop worrying and get moving! Now I’m truly on the losers bench. Better late than never!
  4. As of today, 4 weeks and 2 days.
  5. 800 does seem like a lot yet when I was eating between 500-600 I wasn't losing. Guess it depends on your body, weight & metabolism. Sticking with what works. I’m also using my exercise bike 2x a day for at least 20 mins.
  6. Oh really. I didn’t know that. Thanks so much. Will stick with stool softener.
  7. I’m 4 weeks, one day post op gastric sleeve
  8. Thankfully I was keeping a good journal and when we discussed how little I was eating she suggested I add healthy fat, salmon, avocado, tuna..etc. Just implemented those things and within two days the scale started moving. Would say I was eating and or drinking between 500-600 cals a day, increased to about 800-900 and just like that the scale is starting to move and I have way more energy and don’t feel like I need a nap every two hours.
  9. Yeah, that sucks! On a good note, I started following my dietician’s recommendations by increasing my calories and sure enough, me not eating enough was the issue. I finally broke my 2.5 week stall and dropped 2 pounds overnight. Now that I’ve tackled that problem, I need to increase my fiber to help with constipation. Currently using Dulcolax.
  10. Yes, I have decided to not share my surgery with anyone. My children and mother are the only ones I have told. Not that it’s a secret, just none of anybody’s business. The struggle is hard enough without judgement and questions.
  11. Thank you all! Trying to stay encouraged. Will hit 30 days tomorrow and down 11 pounds. Thankfully, no complications and healed perfectly. Weight day of surgery was 282. After surgery, 290 (water/fluid weight). My weight fluctuated between 273-272 for about 11 days and now I’ve been fluctuating between 271-270 for a few days. I’ve increased my water and calories as my nutritionist insist I’m not eating enough. I agree with her. I Put the scale up and will revisit my numbers next Sunday😢
  12. I’m truly disappointed in my lack of lost. Been stalled for 11 days now. I’m getting in at least 50-60 ozs of water and 60 grams of Protein. It appears I’ve lost some inches but not much. Was really looking forward to a little reward after what I’ve been through. Feeling like the most unluckiest girl ever.
