3 weeks 21 pounds, No real cravings yet, Even though I had to sit there and watch my son eat a half a loaf of garlic bread a couple days ago. One of my favorites.

I don't think you are wrong. Mikey does come off a little rude sometimes, but he knows what he is talking about. He's from Australia so it could be a cultural difference.🤠

i just feel like I have to her something a little bit more solid.
I guess that's why they call it a liquid diet.
I looked at it like this: My sweet carvings was taken care of by the PP shakes, My cravings for meats were substituted with the chicken and beef broth and the Jello was that need to eat something with a spoon. (FYI my favorite Premier Protein is the pumpkin spice, So good).
The 14 day liquid diet sucked but it is an necessity. Think of it as an means to a end.

I drank chocolate and vanilla Premier Protein shakes to take the edge off. Also, sugar free Jello worked good too.

Sorry you didn't get a response, I did pretty much the same thing. I hope all went well.

I started watching the show after my surgery. If I saw it before I probably wouldn't have gone through with it. The surgery scenes are very graphic. Especially the "pulling out the stomach" parts of the Sleeve.

I was told to crush my meds for three months.

Great, keep it up. I lost 28 pounds over my 2 week pre-op.

They gave me two of them in the hospital. I guess to drive their point home. Good luck on your surgery (today I think).

However his abilities as a surgeon came highly recommended so I went with that. In retrospect it would have been nice to have had a better relationship with him, but I was more concerned with his surgical skills 🤣
I had a very similar experience. I worked with my surgeons team of underlings for over a year. I only met him twice for a few minutes each before the surgery/ Like you said he is very highly thought of in his field and seemed very competent. Just wish I wasn't a number to him.

Yeah it's hard, but the weight just falls off during that time. Also it's a means to an end!

After I have my throat stretched again I'll be able to swallow them like a normal person. They told me a month after surgery it was okay to swallow pills again, but every doctor is different...
You chew your pills, don't they taste terrible? I couldn't imagine. 🤮 I'll stick to crushing them.

I'm also a fan of Premier Protein. I usually drink vanilla or chocolate, both are great and very affordable at costco. But the real treat is the pumpkin Spice. PP only put's them out during the holiday season and I have never seen them in stores, but dam they're so good! I did find them at walmart.com once and I loaded up.

How long did you guys have to crush your pills after surgery? In my reading I've heard anywhere from two weeks to 6 months. I'm sure I'll do whatever my Dr. says to do, I'm Just curious what you were told???

I kept it pretty close to the vest. I told my wife, kids, mother, my best friend and a work colleague. My wife however told everyone. All her very large family, people at work, the lady at the super market, etc. I just thought that it was nobodies business but mine and my family.
