to implant or not to implant

I had a Breast lift in 2017. I originally had paid for implants also because I wanted to the full round perky look. When the surgeon looked at my breast he said I didn’t need them, and actually refused to put them in. He said I had enough tissue and it would be too painful of a recovery to add them. I listened and just did the lift. For the first year I was okay with them because they are perkier and full but as time goes on they seem to not be as round and perky as I would like. I wish now that the implants were put in. Also add on that I’m about to get WLS and I’m afraid they will just be flat once I lose the weight. The only plus is that since the lift is done maybe they just have to make a smaller incision and put the implants in if I do decide to do it in the future. I would do the gummy bear implants.

    Obsessing about Plastic Surgery!!

@Darktowerdream It took me about a week or more before I could stand almost upright. I stayed in Miami 10 days after my surgery. I flew back and didn’t have any issues other than dealing with making sure the drains weren’t kinked while sitting in the plane seat. They did ask when I went through the body scanner but she just looked at my drains and sent me on my way. They may give you a note to show them at the airport just to help with the process. After getting home It was still a few weeks before I could stand upright for a decent amount of time. I think most of it was gaining the strength in my core back. The fajita helps tremendously. As far as the bathroom problem I never actually found a good solution for this. I always ended up taking it all the way off to go number 2. Hope your flight and recovery goes well.

    Obsessing about Plastic Surgery!!

I had a tummy tuck/muscle repair and breast lift in Miami in 2017 with Dr. Ortega. I will say please do your research on those places. I saw several women pass away during surgery while down there for my surgery and when I went back for an emergency fix a few weeks later.

    In process of completing pre-ops

I’m 5’ 3/4” and I’m in the Pre surgery stage. I was originally thinking the sleeve as well but I have a feeling the bypass may be what the surgeon recommends. I’m waiting on all my records to get sent to them so they can schedule my consult. I’ll keep you updated on what they tell me.
  5. @tiger_mom2001 I am using BCBS Federal also and trying to figure out the co-morbidity issue. My BMI is currently over 40 and I just had labs which show I have high cholesterol. The lady at my surgery place says high cholesterol isn't counted. Is this true? I thought BCBS told me on the phone it was but wanted to see if they used it for yours. I started a diet place last year and my BMI was right below 40 so I'm not sure if I will qualify. Do you know if you have to be diagnosed with the co-morbidity for a year also? I've been over the 35 mark for years. Just curious how it worked for you
