I'm 4wks post op and tried chicken but vomited foam, bile and food. You're lucky you can eat, I'm jealous 🤣 -

I'm in the UK so it's different but I think they'd rather have the tests done so they can schedule your surgery as soon as everything starts to become normal again. Tests should be valid for a few months providing your health doesn't get worse good luck xx -
Weight more now than before surgery

Absolutely! I put on 3kg so about 8lbs 3 days post op. It does go away. I'm 4wks out and down 18lbs. -
I had no pain from the actual surgery, but I was uncomfortable AF from the gas. Couldn't lie down for about a week and a half. I got codeine phosphate from the hospital but my dr gave me dihydrocodeine which was much better and stronger. I'm 4wks post op now and absolutely no pain.

I'm onto soft food now. I'm tolerating greek yoghurt, beans, chicken noodle soup, soft bran flakes/porridge and cheesy mash with gravy 😊

My surgeon said wait at least a year till weight stabilises, due to not eating enough to sustain a healthy pregnancy. It has been known for people to get pregnant after just 6 months according to my dietitian.

I've been having an actimel probiotic drink most days since surgery and been fine

It almost definitely will i lost over 100lbs prior to surgery and gone down a shoe size and width 🤣 must have lost a few ring sizes too. Weird where it comes off! -

Congrats! I had MGB March 16th and have only lost 18lbs but i lost over 100lbs prior to surgery. It's deffo going slower than expected and I'm struggling to cope without my coping mechanism of food but I'm staying positive and thinking it'll be worth it. -

I'm sorry you had a rough recovery. I had a mini bypass March 16th and couldn't be happier. Have you discussed your concerns with your surgeon or dr? Weight loss surgery does change your internal body rhythm so you might need to adjust diet and speak with a dietician? Good luck xx

I agree. I had a minor bleed from one of my port sites 1 day post op but it was easily treated with compression dressings and a tranexamic acid IV. My surgeon said it was due to limited cardiovascular instability. Not having surgery would have been almost certain death if i carried on the way i was going. Couldn't be happier with the whole process. -

Complications from gastric bypass are very rare, especially these days with more advanced techniques available to surgeons. I couldn't be happier with my decision to have a mini bypass. -
