Best wishes to those of you getting ready. On hair loss: you will 99% chance have hairloss from about months 3 to 6 post surgery.

The losses will be apparent on your hands, brush, pillow, stylists comb, but not necessarily noticeable on your head. That will depend.

Anyway you can’t likely avoid it, so my suggestion is save your money and focus on your program. The hair will surely work its own dang self out. Soon you will be slim and trim!

I am so sorry you are having a hard time!

Have you tried other liquids than plain Water, such as regular or herbal tea or flavored waters, sports drinks or broths and also try them hot or even at room temperature as well as cold. My favorite drink in my post op months was hot chai latte made with a celestial seasonings chai tea bag steeped in hot water for 5 minutes, then add 1/2 of a Splenda packet and one single serve tub of half and half or mini moo.

Personally I still cannot drink plain cold water to this day at 6 years out...still gives me nausea.

Just got the Revision from a 2013 LSG to DS 10 days ago. I'm recovering well and seeing excellent results. Everything went better than expected. Just graduated to Puree stage today after four weeks of a liquid diet. The diet was satisfying and I never went hungry. Now I'm adding some new foods to my diet for this 2 week stage.
In these COVID-19 times, the hospital does not allow visitors so no family could visit during my 5 day stay. I had four other required procedures that week for a total of 3 surgeries over 4 days.
I've seen a lot of great, relevant information on this forum. I look forward to getting through the journey with all of you.

If you had taken the time to really read the post. The ricotta bake may taste like pizza as the poster mentioned but the ricotta bake is healthy and surgery friendly.
why not try being positive with people for a change rather than always making negative or bashing posts?
Believe it or not the day may come when you need help or encouragement. People here may end up treating you just as you have treated them.

Congratulations for working towards a plant based diet. I am 5 months post op, and it is absolutely doable! As for Protein, there are so many options. Let me count some ways....broccoli, Beans, legumes, nuts, Peanut Butter, chia seeds, hemp hearts(omega 3), nutritional yeast, tofu, tempeh, setian, viral wheat gluten, most plant based pastas, quinoa, sprouted grains, oats, nut butters...ooh boy! That was a lot 🤣😂 There really is a lot of options out there. I have started to make my own unmeat crumbles. I didn’t learn this way overnight, but I didn’t get this fat overnight neither. My thinking on this WLS for me, is I took a drastic change to lose the weight, and I took a drastic change to keep it off. I comend anyone who is changing there lifestyle after this surgery. My surgery date was 12-12-19, and I have lost 68 lbs. I am living my best life, and I feel the best I have ever felt!
