  1. I am not very good with knowing what types of exercises to do or how many reps and sets, so I discovered Melissa Le Man and her boyfriend Brandon Michael, who are both professionals in the world of weight lifting and bodybuilding. They both offer workout programs and personalized nutrition programs. The cost will vary depending on what you want. I paid $67 for a one time program that never expires from Melissa Le Man. I know you can pay more for more customized programs. They both offer at home workout programs and programs for at the gym that are downloaded on your phone or tablet. I loved my program from Melissa Le Man, so I highly recommend it!

They can offer a nutrition plan for bariatric patients?

  2. Just wondering did your Doc want you to wait this long to get back in the gym? I am hoping to be able to start lifting again a couple months after surgery. My wife asked me to quit lifting a year ago as she said it was only making me bigger and not losing in the areas I needed to. She was right by the way but I am glad I have that muscle under this fat! Looking forward to lifting again. I am 63 but was doing 225# sets on the bench and other lower weight sets. I also like the seated leg press and doing 3 sets of 25 at 550# or so. I did all the other machines too but those and the dumbells are my favorite. I don't want to put too much stress on my core so I am going to ask my surgeon when is the right time to start. Good luck to you on your journey.
No, my dr didn't tell to wait this long. I was cleared to start weight lifting about a month after my surgery. But during the pandemic, I wasn't able to get back in the gym right away. So, I had to use resistance bands and some small dumbbells that I had along with some YouTube videos. But now since I'm consistently able to go to a gym, I'm trying to find a workout routine that will maximize my results. Whether I'm supposed to be focusing on building muscle and building strength with a lower rep range or focus on a higher rep range.
