It’s going well so far! I’m down 50 pounds so far going on 3 months post op on the 18th. On Jan 15 I’m going to get my 3rd fill adjustment. I’ve had two so far and it’s been working out great.

After having my surgery cancelled last month due to the abrupt closure of my hospital's bariatric practice, I have a new date at another hospital in the area and can hardly wait for the time to fly by. I'm scheduled for gastric bypass on February 21. Any other February peeps out there?

Maybe they are not sure that you are you. Lol. I have ran into people who have either gained weight or lost weight and i wasn't 100% sure who they were at first glance. Just tell them hi, maybe your voice will help remind them.

I started teetering the past few days, I am trying to wrap my head around the fact that I won't be able to eat certain foods ever again. I am thinking if I can do this pre-op diet that should get me on the right track to losing weight. Idk what to do.

They want you to have good, healthy, oxygenated blood for your surgery. This will help with the healing process as well. They test for continue and most want you to be 4 weeks clean. I was reading in another forum where the lady said she kept flunking her drug test. Which she admitted she smokes weed. So a heads up to anyone engaging in that as well.

Well, my, my. I didn't know that thread starters cannot edit posts, or I would have placed this in my original post so that everyone could keep referring to it, but I went into all the March threads and put everyone's dates together so that everyone could see their buddies! I will put this in the other March threads as well. If you are new or don't see your name, I will be more than happy to add it!

I didn't see an official thread so I started one! I finally got my date in March on St. Patrick's Day just before my birthday. I'm excited and anxious all at once. It could have been scheduled in late Jan/Feb but the bari center didn't get the Doctor's clearance that they were looking for and I had to wait until she got off of her winter break to get her to redo it, and then it took a couple of weeks for me to finally call them. They had called but either didn't leave a message or didn't leave the right number (because they are associated with the hospital) so it took a while, plus I'm too busy at work right now to take off anyway.
Now that it's all set up, I have to spend the next month or so preparing the house, starting with the kitchen. Everything that I can't eat anymore is gonna get tossed. Starting Tuesday, I will be going to the bari classes so that I can get my head totally into this. The waiting has been annoying, but it's all falling into place. Sometimes I can't believe I'm really doing this!

I was trying to think of what to pack to wear, probably leggings and my regular bra should be okay. I just want to be comfortable. I did order new slippers, because the ones I am wearing now look pretty rough.
I live in Ohio and I know we are supposed to get snow next week, but my surgery isn't scheduled until Mar 27th, so it will be hard to say what will be happening here then.

Hi All... Not sure if there is already a thread for March surgery yet, but if not, here’s one and ready to support one another! My Gastric Bypass is scheduled 3/11/2020...working to get my head right for 2 week pre-op😳!

I posted earlier saying my first two days were rough, not gonna lie but suddenly by day 3 and forward and felt sooooo much better. I am still drinking Protein Shakes and Water and broth and having a bit of yogurt too. Noticing the hunger that comes on is real...real as like before, however the stomach WILL say no after a certain amount of intake..That’s what it’s all about. Feeding yourself healthy things. I’m 10 Pounds down and feel better already. My sips don’t have to be tiny as I had feared, they are normal , just no chugging. No regrets !

ayemeeb reacted to ms.sss in Losing too much weight, yeah it's real.
...also there are LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of folks on here who went through the "I'm losing too much weight" phase after reaching/surpassing goal (myself included). It takes a while with some trial and error to figure out your sweet spot of not gaining nor losing.
The common successful process is to up your calories by 100 every week/couple of weeks and see how your body responds. You may lose some more weight during this process, but you will eventually find your maintenance calories for your intended body weight.
P.S. It took me 3-4 months after deciding to stop losing weight plus another 12-15 lbs of additional weight loss to stabilize (Goal weight was 127, lost down to 113, am now settling in between 115-120). Like you, I reached goal in 7 months by being militant about my diet and exercise. It was a little difficult switching gears, but I got there eventually (I am 1 year, 4 months out now)
