It just isn't moving like I thought. Surgery weight 266, current weight 237, almost 30lbs, about a week out from 3 months. It's going so slow 😭. So I've recently upped my Water and my cardio (doing 40 min a day 5 times a week) eating less than 800 a day, usually around 700, sometimes give or take. Always less than 25 net carbs for the day. I've only lost 3 lbs this month. Any advice? I'm really eating pretty right, 90% Protein the rest veggies, yogurt, string cheese, making good choices. Maybe calories need to go back to 500?

Water, water, water, and Bone Broth in between meals. It's got Protein and very little. Alroes, but keeps you full. You can do it! Mind over matter, you've got this!

Getting the sleeve was the best decision I've made in my life. And I'm only 6 weeks out from surgery. Down 26lbs. It was the easiest recovery I have ever had from a surgery. But I followed all the directions to a T that I received from my surgeon.

Hi all, sleeved in March 3, so it's been 3 weeks. I've lost a total of 16lbs. I'm trying to be happy about it, but honestly, I thought it would go quicker. I'm measuring my food, sticking to 2 premier shakes a day, sticking to lean Proteins, measuring my 1.5 oz servings. Drinking my Water. I lost 9 lbs the first week, 4 lbs the second, and 3 lbs the third week. I'm averaging between 60 and 70 grams of Protein and about 600 to 650 calories a day. I think my calories are too high. Suggestions?

I had it every day like you while I was on the liquid phase. As soon as I started the soft foods (14 days out after surgery) it went away just as fast as it came. Hang in there!! It goes away!

Feeling full is so different to me now. I can't tell if I'm full, lol. So today is day 1 of soft foods for me (cottage cheese, string cheese, eggs, etc). Tonight I had for dinner 1/4 cup cottage cheese and 2 slices of a peach (cut up into triangles). Feeling full is so different. It doesn't feel like it used to. I don't even know if I'm full, but I got a weird pain in my sternum close to being done, so I stopped. I think this is my new full? Anyone else think it feels different after the sleeve?

Today is day 4, so I got to start on my Protein Shakes and Soups. Today was so much easier compared to say 1, every day has gotten better and better. It sounds silly but now I'm worried it will be too easy and not work. Has anyone else felt this way?

Sleeve done 3/3. Things are definitely easier today than they were on day 1. Now I'm worried that it's not going to work because it's been a pretty good day today and things seem easy. This whole thing is such a head trip!

It's hard to sleep when so many different thoughts. I cleaned my house instead, cleaned my car, made sure all my prep is done. I'm ready, let's do this!!.. it's funny, this week every time I wore something i told myself, this will be the last time i wear these Jean's, etc. So excited!

I'm finally nervous, thinking about things I literally have no control over, mind games. I'm a bundle of nerves under this calm exterior. I believe in prayer and meditation, I will do both.
You will do great!! I am happy my surgery is in the morning, but nerves nonetheless. We've got this, we're in good hands! Can't wait to hear about your success!! Here's to the new us's!

I got the sleeve 3 years ago and it was much easier than expected. However, other people on my floor had different amounts of pain, so everyone is different. The first week or two is probably the hardest, but even then it’s not that bad (think: first world problems). You’ll do great and remember that this is for life. You’ll have to always think about what and how much you are eating, but you’ll also be free of whatever health problems you may have and will be able to enjoy shopping so much more. Good luck!
Thank you so much!! I wish you the best on your revision. You can do this, we can do this! I'll be thinking of you and can't wait to here about your success!!

Surgery is monday, so I'm asking this pre-sleeve.... does 900 calories fill you up? Or do you still feel hungry at then end of the day? Just curious what lies ahead. Thank you!
-
You will be great! Prayers for a speedy and safe surgery. I'll be in your shoes next Monday, so not far behind, definitely understand the nerves. You got this!! Just think, time goes by so fast before you know it, you'll be a month out of surgery and be giving someone else this pep talk!
-
Just curious how much time everyone was out of work and truly unable to work after surgery? I know everyone is different just curious what people have experienced. Surgery is in 6 days! Eek. Planning on taking 2 weeks off and then easing back into it.

No, you'll be fine!

Sounds exactly like dehydration. Of course talk to your dr. But in the meantime, sip sip sip.
