We're too close to go back now! I suppose we just got to keep our heads low those 2 days and then deal with everything one day at a time. Best of luck to all!

    Kratom, anyone?

Hi. I suffer from fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions. I've been wanting to try Kratom. If you don't mind , how much of the powder do you put in a capsule, as in how much really is your dose of 6 capsules? Also what are the white and red powders? Thank you.
  5. All approved and ready to go! You're sweet for following up, thank you! I started my liver shrinking diet 3 days ago 😕 I have NEVER been to the bathroom( #1s) so often in my life!!!😉 All that water is a killer🤣

    March Surgery Dates

March 10th revision from vbg to rny for me. Best of luck to all!
  7. I'm sorry, you are going through all of this !❤ While I have no advice to offer, I just wanted to give you a virtual hug and I hope things start looking up for you soon. Life can be so overwhelming sometimes, hang in there. Much love and best wishes!
  8. Mine is scheduled the day after yours! Best of luck!❤
  9. For some reason, I always seemed to be on the receiving end of unfiltered crap out of people's mouths! From "oh, why did you let yourself go like this?" (coming from a 300 lbs woman), to "thank God you lost that weight, I felt so bad for your husband!"and sooo much more, I could write a book! I was younger back then and every word hurt so bad, but could never find my voice or even think of a comeback. I'm now older and could be very causticly sarcastic, I take no prisoners!!😉

    March 10th surgery date

Hey there, New here, too, but I think you could swap info on this thread or through private messages. Do you have to do a LSD as well? If yes, what's your program and when do you start it?

    Just Venting... Again!

I have a hard time shutting down the racing thoughts at night, so I alternate between a hefty dose of melatonin and a muscle relaxant that I have for fibromyalgia. Most nights it works. I suspect the melatonin might not work for you alone but maybe if you add a homeopathic supplement like Valerian it might? Just a thought. I wish you all the best!

I do and I start on the 25th as well!! I am fortunately done with all classes, some of them were so boring! (I have adhd and have a hard time with group lectures) I have EGD scheduled for next week, then pre admission testing, then pcp clearance. It's getting real, twinsie!😘

    Just not hungry...

Maybe try protein waters, like Protein2O and such? Hope you get out of your funk soon.
  16. All of the above and -To go with my 6 year old to the trampoline park and not just sit on the bench watching him. - To not huff and puff going up one flight of stairs. - To just have more energy!!!!

    Sleep eating during pre-op

I'm sorry, I had to smile big. I sleep walk, too. Haven't done it for years, but had done it since childhood. The fact that your poor mind is so hungry, it's rebelling, idk I find it a little endearing! But do not despair, in my experience the baby locks should work. I used to sleepwalk and go around the house opening doors, but if a door was locked(even if the key was in it), I would move on after a couple times trying the handle. I would suggest you put those baby locks on fridge too if possible, until your brain catches up to your new lifestyle. Or better yet, get rid of the bread, If you live alone. If you only keep healthy food in the house, even if you slip, you'd still be ok. Best of luck you on your journey, and remember "One day at a time"!
  20. Hello there, Longtime lurker, first time poster here!🖐️ I had my stomach stapled (vbg) in 2003. Went from 320 lbs to 189, I don't remember in how long. But I was never comfortable eating, threw up most of the time(due to in part no education pre-op whatsoever back then, but also as it turns out a stricture). could not tolerate meats of any kind and soon after realizing how easy it was for me to tolerate "sliders", I started gaining weight. So over 15 years I gained back up to 276 lbs. I started being ok with myself, started buying cute clothes( well as much as I could) and stopped dieting. Over the years I developed fibromyalgia, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis and a few other choice chronic conditions, so I decided it's time for me to get serious about my health(without dieting) and my biggest concern at the time was the ridiculous acid reflux, that would sometimes wake me up by rushing into my nose!! And I had started developing more severe symptoms that resembled gastritis . Anyways, a year ago I started seeing a gastroenterologist, who after further exploration discovered the stricture and budding gastritis. He told me right then that the position of my stricture is not going to be helped by dilatation, and my only way is a revision. Of course, 1- I did not think insurance would pay for it, so out of the question. 2- I did not want to have any more "elective" surgeries. 3- I had just started being ok with myself and advocating for big people, remember? So, I chose to do a dilatation and my doctor was willing to try. Did NOT work! Big surprise! My doctor made an appointment with a revision bariatric surgeon, without consulting me. Gotta love how things work out! Anyways, long story short...er😉, here I am jumping through insurance hoops to get approved for a revision to rny bypass. My question is, in people's experience, did the fibro pain get any better after weight loss? Thanks for bearing with me through the long post and thank you, all for the vast wealth of information on this website!
  21. Hey, Mo! Thanks for the reply and the encouraging words! I have never heard/seen fibro referred to as Mixed Connective Tissue Disease before, makes a lot of sense. I am a chef, so am constantly moving, but moving in water is so much better for the pain, you're right. I will try that when it gets a bit warmer. As for massages, I've been terrified to let anybody even try. Even touch hurts, sometimes better than others, but my upper arms, shoulders and lower back carry the most pain. I've been thinking about it, but am not brave enough to venture just yet. Hopefully, when I lose a little weight, things may get better and I can finally try therapeutic massages. I really appreciate your advice! Best of luck to you!!❤
  22. That's so good to hear, that somebody had a good experience! Gives me hope. Do you take anything for it daily or for flare ups? Thank you, froufrou.
  23. I hear you on the suffering part! I take the Lyrica and I feel like it barely touches the pain. I think I'm going to ditch it anyway since it doesn't really work. Thank you so much for replying. ❤
  24. Thank you for the welcome and your feedback, Lynda. I knew it was a long shot but thought maybe... I was kind of hoping to ditch the Lyrica, but hey looking forward to my knees feeling better from the osteo!
