I have left relationships that have lasted longer for less. Please don't let the amount of time spent with someone be a deciding factor in what you should or shouldn't be doing. If someone isn't actively adding to your life, then they aren't worth being there in the first place. He sounds like he is insecure with you losing weight and gaining confidence, hence his reactions and belittling of you. There are plenty of men out there who would adore you and support your journey, so please don't let some a*****e ruin it for you. ♥

I had RNY on June 8th and I feel amazing. I healed fine without any complications. I am currently down 44lbs (74lbs total) since surgery. I probably would have lost more if I had made a few better decisions, but I am incredibly happy with my decision and am happy that it's working out for me.

I have been incredibly lucky with this. I can pretty much chug Water without any issues (2, almost 3 months out). I try to make sure I am consistently drinking throughout the day and more often than not, I meet my goal.

I didn't have any requirements like that when going for my surgery, but it was really hard for me to get comfortable using my CPAP machine. What worked for me was trying on several different masks until one felt "natural". The problem for most of us, I think, is that we are reacting to feeling suffocated and while half-awake, we just yank the damn thing off.

Hi everyone! I made some weight loss trackers and thought I would share them for free. They are in my highlights on Instagram. Just screenshot, crop, and fill them in! I just ask that you credit me if you repost them. Thanks!

As for how I am doing, I feel fine overall! My stomach is a bit uncomfortable where the incisions had been made, and I do get a little gassy, but nothing a good ol' fart or potty break can't solve..

Well, we went on our first 'date' since surgery.. and it had nothing to do with food! We went to a zoo together! Lol It was actually a great time. It was a little bit driving around in some areas, and a whole lot of walking in other areas. I felt great that I could walk around as much as I did that day while enjoying nature!

I am only a month post op and I've always loved food. Cooking it, eating it, and feeding people at gatherings. At first it was hard because you're all liquids and your significant other is eating food. I can tell you it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I've still enjoyed cooking for my boyfriend and son very much. And your stomach is so much smaller that even though you can't eat as much as you used to, to comfort yourself, you get full a lot faster. I have had food at restaurants, but it's just a smaller amount. My stepmom got the same surgery years ago and she always looks at the bright side for date nights she always has a to go box and has food for later. Just make sure you stick to what your dietitian and doctor and it will keep getting easier!

I also think working out is an awesome activity to do together. The key is to find something you actually like to do. Maybe explore a new hiking trail, go on a long walk in a scenic place, have a game night, or see a show together. I honestly have a hard time thinking of other activities because eating out used to be one of my favorite things in life, but this whole process has made me refocus. Like other posters have said, you will eventually be able to dine out, but I think it’s definitely a good idea to come up with activities that are not centered around food.

I had surgery on Monday too! *highfive*

I also feel like I am able to drink so much more than others.. I was so worried it would be a tough task to get down my 60g of Protein but I have been able to get it down with no problem. I am supposed to be taking in 100ml per half hour, but earlier I think I took in 300ml just by miscalculating the time and what I had already taken in. I also caught myself after taking a big swig of Water (I use tiny cups currently to help with that), but no harm has seemed to come from any of it.

Nurse called to check on me post op. Asked me if I’d had a bowel movement yet. I tell her no. She says I need to take Milk of Magnesia because they want me to still have bowel movement even though I’m on a liquid diet.< br />
Wake up in the middle of the night in a sea of diarrhea in my bed all over my new white bed sheets and blanket.

One of the most disgusting things I’ve ever experienced. If you are going to take Milk of Magnesia, take it first thing in the morning. Do not take in the afternoon or early evening. If you do, you might just literally shit the bed.

BoredFatGirl got a reaction from Deemar007 in How do you deal? It's so hard..
We live in a tiny apartment for the two of us. My office is located in the living room, which is connected to the dining room and kitchen. I smell everything. It would be a hard task for him to cook while I am not near.
I also acknowledge the fact that it's simply not fair to him that he has to go through what I am going through. I had hoped he would be a bit more sensitive to what I am dealing with, but as many have said, this is something I need to get through on my own.
He and I have both talked in a calmer matter now, though. There won't be anymore snacking in our bedroom. For the rest of these two weeks, he will eat more of the 'quick things' we have in the house (sandwiches, etc) instead of cooking or he can grab fast food and eat in his car.
I still wish that I could have ignored it altogether. I had got so emotional over the smell of fried food and it makes me really feel disgusting. I thought I was doing great until yesterday when I lost my **** over it.
