I'm wondering where you're from/what type of insurance plan you have? I actually work for a large insurance company and if you're going to an in-network plastic surgeon, they are contractually bound to accept whatever rate the insurance company offers. So, if you were trying to get the service done by an out of network provider, that could be the problem.
