    Post op

My surgery date is March 11th at Blossom Bariatric. I am starting to test out protein drinks and preparing for post op. I am very allergic to dairy, with a mild allergy to stevia and sugar cane. I keep seeing people say to stock up on sugar free popsicles and jello but I can’t do artificial sweeteners at all. When I do use sugar I use monk fruit or xylitol. Neither of which you can find in popsicles and jello. So my option is regular sugar foods (which I can only tolerate a very small amount of), or I don’t know what else. I have pea protein and egg white protein to make smoothies with. Any suggestions for other post op foods I could get during the liquid stage?
  2. May I ask why your converting from the sleeve to by-pass?
  3. Finally scheduled at Blossom in Las Vegas. March 12th. I’m self pay so this process has been very fast. I go between ready and scared to death multiple times a day. Mostly scared of regaining after losing.

    USA Self-Pay Options

One more question. A friend suggested I do a search for other centers like Blossom. Does anyone know what kind of search parameter to google? Everything I’m doing just brings up regular Bariatric centers vs self pay places like blossom. Somewhere on here I saw TX mentioned but can’t figure out how to find it on the web. Thanks in advance.

    USA Self-Pay Options

Thank you. I will give them a call. That's actually not too horribly far from me.

    USA Self-Pay Options

I'm being quoted $18000 for a "package" deal for self pay gastric sleeve. The $18000 does not include the anestheiologist charges. Do you know how much the Las Vegas doctor charges? I have insurance but they will pay a max of $7500 for gastric surgery which makes it way more expensive to use the insurance then it does to self pay. I'm looking for alternative places to get it done (in the US). Any help would be appreciated.
