Miss Liss got a reaction from Uomograsso in 3 Month Stall. WTF?!
Hey all! I am frustrated! Can you tell by the title of my post? Lol! I had surgery on 4/9/19 and although I am down 71lbs, I have been stalled for 3 months now! I've only lost 6lbs since October. I'm not sure what is going on. I will say, back in April of 2017, I did have a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy so maybe my hormones are all over the place. I need advice BAD. Has anyone experienced this long of a stall? If so, how did you come out of it? I am grateful for this tool and am trying to get all I can out of it. HELP!

I waited until I was 6 months post to eat popcorn to avoid the kernels causing problems. Popcorn is definitely a slider and you have to be careful with it. I personally don't feel its "bad" to have popcorn. If you want to keep it healthy stick to air popped or Skinny Girl brand. I have one of those Pampered Chef microwave popcorn makers - it limits the amount I eat and keeps me from binging. Occasionally we will get popcorn at the movies but certainly not every time.

I didn't. I am currently 15 months out and I'm down 83 pounds. Still working towards it, though. Congrats on your weight loss!

Hello all! I had Gastric Sleeve surgery on 4/9/19. I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary but I am still 20lbs or so away from losing 100lbs. At month 6 I experienced a 3 month stall that I just recently broke after trying intermittent fasting. I'm kinda bummed that I probably won't meet the "100lbs down in a year" goal. Did anyone else NOT lose 100lbs in their 1st year? If you didn't, were you upset or discouraged about it?

Congratulations on your terrific weight loss. I am thinking I may try fasting as well. Only, I love my coffee and Creamer in the morning. I wonder how that works? Anyway, you are doing great, celebrate!

My stretch goal is to lose 100 lbs. I'm a year and six months out. I've been the same weight for a while now. If I don't gain and can extend myself more at the gym to make what I have look a bit better, I'll be thrilled. No reason to get hung up on a particular number. I would look at all the gains you've made with your health, wearing smaller sizes, or other NSVs.

I stalled at month 6 and continued to stall for 3 months until I tried Intermittent Fasting. It helped get the scale moving again!

Intermittent fasting has helped me for sure. you can still eat your same amount of calories but in a smaller window. Its definitely worth trying. And upping your Water to 80-120 Oz if possible if you don't happen to drink a lot of water. The water part can be hard though... Hang in there bec three months stall is tough mentally. IF is excellent and Fluffy chic had a great thread on that....

Oh also the other way to shake up a stall is to have a day or three of really low calories- like go back to the stage 1 diet and or if your cals have consistently been low you can shake it up with a single day of higher calories but dont do too many high calorie days- One day is normally enough. Those are both other ways I have broken a stall. And exercise if you dont do that consistently will definitely help. Good luck and hang in there.
  12. Congrats!

Just started IMF on Sunday and I plan to do it a week and see how it goes. I have been experiencing a long stall and am hoping this ends it! Welcoming suggestions as well 🙂

I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm actually 9 months out but started stalling at 6 months out. I've only lost 6lbs since October! I've just started intermittent fasting this week and am hoping it helps to get things started again. I also saw something about a "pouch reset". What does that consist of? Willing to try anything at this point! I still have 30lbs to go before I reach my 100lb weight loss and only have 3 months to do it 😕

I know that the weight loss slows down around 6-8 months. Per my surgeons office. I didn't expect a screeching halt. At least you are still seeing some loss!! That's a good sign!
I love having this forum to touch base!!!

Yes. Absolutely! I've lost the last 30-40lbs with IF + surgery + tight diet control.

I also stalled at 6 months - about 10 pounds from my goal weight. I plugged into some Intermittent Fasting and it dropped right off. I was below goal a month later.

Thank you! So in your experience would you say IMF helped to break the stall? I'm starting to get frustrated so I'm willing to try anything at this point lol

I am 14 months out from surgery. I pretty much stabilized at 12 months. But I don't have any more weight to lose, so, that's probably a good thing. lol. I hit my personal goal weight at 10 months out..

I contacted my Team for professional advice during my stalls. In the end I switched some of my foods around, drank more Water, played around with intermittent fasting and let the surgery work
