  1. Surgery date was 12/31/19. I was 334 that day, 23 days later, I am at 314. (21lbs. Lost) I can eat solid food now, no problems. Staying under 900 calories a day, down 4 pant sizes! This time last year I weighed 375. My only problem is constipation. I have been obese most all my life, I’m 53 now and I feel great, lots of compliments, friends & family are amazed at my weight loss. I am so glad I had the VGS surgery!

    Cold 🥶 Feet 😬

The liquid diet two weeks before surgery was worse than the pain! To me, that was the “worse” part of the VGS surgery. My weight has been falling off since. I am 5 pant sizes down now. 375 before, 319 now. My surgery was 12/31/19.
  3. I have been “allowed” to drink Decaf coffee two weeks before and the day after surgery. I only drink 1or2 cups a day, black w/Splenda.

    Caffeine?

Thanks for your comments. I only drink two cups of coffee in the morning and an iced tea or two a day. I have been “allowed” to drink decaf two weeks before surgery and after the surgery. I drink it black with one Splenda packet.
  5. Surgery pain...no, gas pain, yes! For about 3days. I would go to Walmart and Home Depot, etc., walk down every isle looking at stuff to help get rid of the gas pain. Doing great now! Weight is just falling off!
  6. Why can’t I have caffeinated coffee & tea? Is it just because it’s a diuretic? If that’s the case, well...I’m a lot more hydrated now, post surgery, than in my past. Between my wife and the timer on my phone every 15 minutes reminding me to drink.
  7. 50#’s Down! I started losing weight by prepping meals back in April 2019 when I topped out at 375#. Then I had the sleeve surgery on Dec. 31st. It’s been a week since my surgery now and this morning I weighed 325#’s!!! Praise God!
  8. Thanks for the information. I definitely didn’t think about the sugar and I don’t want to go down that road.
  9. Has anyone used Liquid IV Hydration Multiplier? What are your thoughts on this product? Pros and Cons please. I am thinking of using this to help keep me hydrated as it is hard to get all my liquids in right now.

    Surgery 12/30

I had my sleeve surgery on 12/31, 5 days later now, I cannot stand up straight or bend over due to the swelling. My wife set a timer on my phone to drink every 15 minutes. I still can’t drink the amount that I’m supposed to. The best thing to help with walking is going shopping. Like, when we go to a store, I push the cart and we go down every isle, even if we don’t need anything on that isle.
  11. Hello, I had my sleeve surgery on 12/31. I’m 5 days post op and still haven’t had a bowel movement. I’m taking Lactulose, but no go. Has anyone else had this problem?

    January 2020 Surgery Date

Katman VSG in Houston,TX. I have just had my Sleeve Surgery on 12/31/19. Almost 5 days later, I’m still in a lot of pain. It might be from a hernia that was repaired during the surgery, I don’t know. I have been walking to remove gas but hardly any success with that. Hurts worse trying to get up or sit down. I have no appetite at all. I lost 32# before surgery. 343# at surgery. I’m starting to have doubts, I shouldn’t have done this. Good luck on you’re surgery!
  13. I had my sleeve done December 31,2019. I am still having a lot of pain. How long and when should the pain start to subside?
