Has anyone started taking Biotin before their surgery to help lessen hair loss? I read somewhere to start taking it a few weeks before surgery.

January 27th. I've purchased a few items, including vitamins, but I'm not ready yet. When is your surgery?

Wow! Thanks for sharing the pictures of all the items you've purchased to get prepared. I'm not nearly that well-prepared yet and seeing your pictures is helpful.

    Hospital Bag

Thanks for the the tips, everyone. I'm just going to take the following in a backpack: a light robe I can roll up (haven't purchased one yet), chapstick, phone and charger, mini Ipad, toothbrush and toothpaste, hairbrush, clean pair of underwear. I plan to wear the same loose, comfy maxi-dress there and back, and I'll wear a pair of rubber Birkenstocks which is what I wear at home for slippers anyway.

Thanks for the prep tips! 😀 I especially like the tip on changing your sheets before surgery, so your bed is nice and fresh when you get home. I have my vitamins, protein shakes, and jello, but still need to get broth, and I guess, GasX?? I plan to make some homemade broth before surgery and freeze it in ice trays, but I would also like to get some broth packets. I'm having surgery in Puerto Vallarta during a family vacation and I'll be there for several days after the surgery. I've been stressing about what comfy clothes to pack for after surgery and for travel home and I found these dresses on Amazon. They are inexpensive, $18-$21 a dress, and I think they will be very comfortable, like wearing a nightgown! I already have 2 short sleeved t-shirt type dresses, so I think the 5 dresses, a sweater, a pair of Birks, and a pair of nice sandals will be my complete wardrobe for the trip. The only robe I have is a big, warm fluffy one, so I may try to find a lightweight wrap robe that will pack easy. Any other tips?

Hi there, surgery twins! I am so thrilled to know 2 more people having surgery on the 27th. Your pre-op diet is very similar to mine. A friend who had surgery in Tijuana said I should double check because she and everyone she knows has been required to do a liquid diet 2 weeks before surgery. I did double check just to make her happy and get off my butt! Ha, ha!
  12. Has anyone used Dr. Juan Francisco Hidalgo at CMQ Rivera Navarit outside of Puerto Vallarta ?
