Looking good girlie! I can really see the difference. Your face looks much thinner and also your mid-section. The same shirt, same pose, same hair-do, leaves no doubt that you are much smaller!

    Time off

I took 3 weeks off, but I think 4 weeks would have been better simply because of the low energy level I felt that first week back at work. My job is sometimes sedentary, but others days I hit the ground running and sit very little.

Today was my first day transitioning to regular food and it went fine, no problems tolerating anything. I had a little bit of soft cauliflower rice for lunch. For dinner I had a skinless chicken thigh, sautéed yellow squash, and sautéed 'shrooms. As you can see from the pics, my eyes were bigger than my new tummy. I ate 1/2 of the chicken thigh, 3-4 bites of squash, and all the mushrooms. It was so good! I think I ate a few extra bites after I was full because now I feel stuffed. I'm going to have to slow down and stop when satisfied, not full. The plate looks huge in the pics, but it is a small salad plate. t

Bluebelle is adorable, just look at those eyes and her big smile! That may be a good idea just focusing on hydration for a day.

Has anyone used nutritional yeast? If so how do you use it? I've read it has a nutty flavor, and some people use it as a substitute for cheese. I'm thinking of trying it on veggies like sautéed until soft squash.

Even veggies that are cooked until soft? Wed. will be 30 days for me and I begin regular food starting with soft proteins and veggies.

I purchased the Bariatric Multivitamin with Iron from this site. I bought 12 months worth for $99, so that seemed like a deal and the vitamin/mineral amounts met the guidelines I was given by my surgery team. They are a capsule, but easy to swallow for me.
  11. I thought I would just use my household blender, but quickly realized a needed a small personal blender. I bought a Magic Bullet off Ebay for $26. It said it was used, but it seemed brand new and works great. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Magic-Bullet-Electric-Personal-Portable-Blender-Smoothie-Maker-Mixer-Silver/383429851260?_trkparms=aid%3D1110002%26algo%3DSPLICE.SOI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200122160600%26meid%3D0b8367c315804890ba3c344bf630efba%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D383405393757%26itm%3D383429851260%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DPromotedSellersOtherItemsV2%26brand%3DMagic+Bullet&_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850

Girl, no way you look like you weigh 252. I would have guessed around 210. You must be losing a bunch of inches too!

How many calories/carbs a day are you eating? I'm averaging 530 calories and 52 carbs.

  19. I was wondering for those of you who had surgery in Mexico how you are handling your post op care? I had surgery in Puerto Vallarta and saw my PCP one week after surgery, then I'll see her every 3 months for labs. If I have any problems I'm to call her immediately and she'll refer me to a bariatric specialist. I'm hoping this is sufficient, but despite the fact that my surgery team is accessible via email or phone, it's not the same as your surgeon being local.
  20. So sorry you are having issues with GERD. Do you have a family doctor who could refer you to someone locally?

Same with me. I can drink my smoothie, no problem. My recipe is very similar, a handful of baby spinach, 1/2 cup mixed berries, scoop of GENEPRO, a splash of Fairlife milk, tablespoon of greek yogurt, and a splash of banana split sugar-free syrup. This smoothie will hold me until lunch time.

Good morning! I hope everyone is still doing well. I had a hungry day yesterday. I don't know what was up with that, but I managed. I had pureed navy beans last night for dinner and they were yummy and filling. I haven't completely stalled yet, but the last two days I've lost 1/2 pound, instead of the pound I was losing at first. Oh, well, I'm good with that, but I know the stall is coming....
  23. rene50

    Still cant believe it

Congrats! You must feel wonderful. So happy for you! May I ask what your starting weight was and if you had any stalls?

Today was my first day back at work (I work for an airline) and it went just fine.😀 My energy level is still not as high as I would like, but it is improving each day. It was good to get back to my regular routine.
