Btw for those of you that say weed is an addiction you are being short sited. The medicinal value of THC AND CBD is irrefutable.

I’ve lost 50lbs since 12/18/19.... not one person has said anything! Nothing! Haha Saturday I did back to back spin and ran into a woman who I hadn’t seen since November and she didn’t say a word. BUT! She tells this other girl setting up next to us she looks like she is losing weight. She lost 5lbs! 5 freaking lbs (good for her - not hating on her) and I’ve lost 50 and nothing hahaha

Haha I’m about to make a shirt that says “ask me if I lost weight” or something lmfao desperate times and such

Try a tincture. It’s a small amount .25 ml delivered sublingual (under the tongue). Takes about an hour to kick in.

Grace,It's good to see your post. One thing you have to remember is that we who are older and I am 73 will not lose as fast as those who are younger and a bit more active. Other things that affect weight loss are the medications that you are on and a lower metbolism. I had my surgery about a week before you and I have only lost 15 lbs. While it is frustrating I am okay with that and will be patient. It is a process. I do I'm eating between 6 and 700 calories a day which is where my doctors want me to be. I make sure that I get the prescribed amount of Protein as well as fluids. My stomach definitely tells me when it's full and that's when I stop.So that is the advantage of your tool.Although you and your sister are both losing weight right now here's what's going to be different for you. You have a lifelong tool now a smaller stomach that's gonna help you maintain proper portions to lose your weight and to maintain your ideal weight. We have all experienced the ups and downs of weight loss and weight gain because the body tries to throw everything at us to regaining that weight (Hunger changing metabolism at cetera) And that's what your sister may go through again and you won't if you follow The rules. The surgery Lowers your setpoint For your body weight. Hang in there and try not to get too discouraged. And stay safe through the corona virus.

I started at 362 at my consult and lost 92 pounds before surgery. I’m down 10 pounds since then (2 weeks ago). I am 5 feet even. I agree with AshAsh, it has taken a long time for me to see a difference. And I worry that the honeymoon period will not be long enough for me to lose as much weight as I would like. The other piece for me has been psychological—there don’t seem to be many women my size or larger here (starting BMI was 70) and so I feel still like an outlier and there are fewer examples of people who have been successful at my size or larger. It would be great to support other women with higher weights.

Well here it sets still. My biggest complaint with also being 320 and post'menopausal my metabolism is such I barely lose any weight with my exercise, whereas my younger sisters drop weight like a scared rabbit. Do you feel like life is not always fair?😕

Had my surgery on March 3. I was one of the lucky ones who was able to have gastric bypass surgery before elective procedures have been put on hold because of COVID-19. I’m quite relieved.

Thanks everyone! I finally got things moving along. I know I have to concentrate on Protein first but I also know the importance of some roughage. Last night I added some wilted spinach which I tolerated well. I do not want to use too many laxatives so I’m going to be quite careful on that front. I am going to add colace daily and Smooth Move tea really helped me. I’ve always been a coffee drinker which kept things moving along. I miss a nice cup of coffee. Tea just isn’t the same lol. Thank you again for your advice. It’s nice to know there are others out there going through the same journey. 👍💨💩

I've never been a fan of laxatives, or needed to use them, since for at least a decade before my sleeve I suffered from ulcerative colitis where the opposite problem was a daily fact for me. In fact, only got them because it was suggested after my first surgery, so even though they were expired I still used them. I have some Smooth Move tea which I found buried in my pantry (also bought after sleeve surgery) - I think that did a lot more than the ex-lax. In any event, I'm hoping that my diet (with fibre) will be enough to keep me regular, but I want the laxatives as a backup, because I never want to go through what I just went through the past three days! (seriously, I have no idea what the neighbours think was happening here, but even I was scared by the sounds I was making!)

OMG - We are surgery twins and this week has been horrible for me - I've spent the last 3 days in a lot of pain because of Constipation. I couldn't even leave the house. I've used up the few laxatives I had remaining, went back to liquids, and now have a big order of more laxatives, soluble fibre, and more to help me get through this. Luckily my classes have been postponed or are online until the end of April, so I don't need to worry about having issues during the day at work (because trust me, once something starts moving back there, I need to get to a toilet right quick! 😞😉). I finally was able to pass most of what was in there out yesterday and today, and the weight that I "gained" since the weekend is now gone. I know more fibre will help, but at the same time even though I'm on soft foods now I am limited by what I can add that has enough fibre in it. I'll have to be much more vigilant from now on.

Three weeks in. Started soft diet this week. Concentrating on Protein and fluids. Started colace. And resorted to milk of magnesia today. Any tips on keeping things moving along and not getting backed up? I had gastric bypass surgery on March 3.

It was tough for me at that point as well and it’s gotten better now that I have progressed to soft foods. Have you tried Decaf coffee with sugar free Creamer? That seemed to help.

I’ve used Miralax and probiotic prunes. That has worked for me when I needed it. Hope it all works out soon. 😃 Seriously though, hope you feel better soon. I had gastric sleeve surgery on March 3rd. ❤️

Real good makes a Protein mini pizzas that are very high in protein and low in carbs because the "dough" is actually thin grilled chicken. I enjoy them very much.
