11 days post op (gastric sleeve)

Are you ok? Anxiety sucks! I like to read, and meditate when I’m feeling anxious. It took a lil practice, but it really works for me now. What are things you do to help it?

    I have another question

I was told three weeks, then no limits, as long as I felt ok, and no pain.

    No purée stage?

I’m post op 2 weeks, and I’m eating soft, mushy food. My new full is one teaspoon of food. So I am drinking my protein shakes faithfully. I can’t believe how many inches I have lost already! I don’t like the new “full” feeling so I have yet to eat near that amount again. I have 3 teaspoons of “mush” spaced out throughout the day. My fav is vegan meatballs, I got at Aldis. They are so soft, and I tolerate them so well. I was told to experiment with one food a day, if it bothers me, try that food the next week. Honestly the vegan meatballs did so well, I’m probably gonna ride these out for a week by themselves.

    Coffee

My favorite coffee so far is a scoop of PB2, 2 scoops of unflavored protein, and a splash of cookies and cream protein. I get close to 30 grams of protein in starting my day. It is a huge difference how I feel and get through my day. Any recipes for yummy, no sugar coffee is greatly appreciated.
  6. I’ve been reading a lot of posts, and most of the posts that mention gaining back the weight, also mention soda pop, and alcohol. I worked hard to get here. I will not be easy on myself. That’s how I got to this point in the first place. If I want to be healthy, I have to have self discipline. Nobody else is going to do this for me. Mike a rowing machine sounds great, if your gonna use it. How often do you use the bike? How often do you walk? What is your goal? I walk 5+ miles a day, and want to start swimming. Less pain on my hips.
  7. My surgeon told me no carbonated drinks for the rest of my life after surgery. He told me the carbonation stretches the stomach. After giving me the idea of a shaking soda, and my hard work being all stretched out...I’ll never touch a soda, it’s just not worth it to me.
