11 days post op and down 22lbs and back in the 100’s for the first time in years. I’m in shock. I still have a long way to go but I’m so happy right now. I won’t lie I have moments where I question my decision because this is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I know I’m doing this to live a long healthy life.

I did, they gave me one when I got to the hospital and sent me home with a few more. I get bad motion sickness, so I guess when this patch wears off I’ll see what happens. Thank you very much. -

Has anyone been having strange vision issues after? Prior to surgery I had perfect vision, now when I try to look at anything close up it is really blurry. It’s fine for things a little further out though.

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. Day 3 has been so much better. I should be able to go home today.

I am sipping every chance I get, either Protein Shakes, popsicles, or a big jug of Water. A few things I’ve found that make the pain worse is drinking cold water and then taking a sip of warm Soup. Plus anything ice cold makes my stomach spasm. I keep hoping the walking will make it better, I get up every 15 minutes and walk around the house. Thanks for your encouragement. -

Day 2 pre-op, they are keeping me again overnight since my pain is really bad....the ab binder helps so much. I took it off for a bit last night and started having terrible muscle spasms. Drinking sips of Water and sucking on ice chips. Hoping to feel better tomorrow

I finally got my time! I have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 7:00 am, the surgery is at 9:30 am. Hoping and praying that everything goes well and I have an easy recovery. Good luck to everyone else having surgery this week. I can’t wait to hear how all of you are doing.

melmet42 reacted to Bucky0126 in Saxenda started
I increased my Saxenda injection to the 1.2 mg for week 2 yesterday. For anyone starting Saxenda, I recommend starting it on a Saturday or Sunday as the increase can give you a worn down feeling as your body adjusts to the increase. The only side effect so far has been a feeling of a sour stomach and loss of appetite (that one's good). I weighed in this morning at 325.5 lbs, so nearly -16 lbs in 1 week of Saxenda and 3-1/2 weeks of intermittent fasting, Portion Control and carb reduction (just trying to avoid major carb intake). I feel good, but haven't noticed any weight loss in the mirror....yet. Thanks for the positive vibes and comments, I'm trying!

I used Saxenda during my 6 month insurance approval process. I absolutely loved it! I was able to lose about 20 lbs within 4 months. Good luck with everything!

We made a ton of homemade broths so I made a lot of Soups - some just broth and flavors and some pureed and some with veggies - basically some for each stage of post op.
Also anything I've been making for dinner lately, I've been putting some in small containers and labeling it for what week I can have it. Figure each container will get me through 1-3 meals. So far I've stocked away chicken and broccoli bake, carnita cauliflower rice bowls, teriyaki salmon burgers with grilled pineapple, spinach and feta crustless quiches.
