  1. Happened to me too and still happens but I learnt to not give a f**k and live my life.. scale is just a number, people always judge and comment stuff like it's their business to say something (but it's not!) "You're Too thin, you're too fat.. oh your weight is good but u got a belly.. try to loss that." They say these everyday.. they make unnecessary comments..

I understood this just a minute before my surgery.. bc I happened to understand how my life matters to "me". I only live once.. so why bother..

Baby go to the mirror and make peace with yourself again, dysmorphia is normal after gaining & losing weight and god has made surgeons if you're not happy with extra skin or anything.. No worries just try to start eating healthy again and get to love yourself again. [emoji173][emoji847]

  2. Azin,

I don't know the grade of liver disease. I'll be sure to ask this question as I wasn't even aware there are grades.

I was not given the meds for GB because surgeon said there are a lot of side effects and didn't recommend it. I do have pain under my ribs on the right side. I've also had GB "attacks", where I get shooting pain up into my chest and in my back. I get nauseous but haven't vomited, yet. I'm more worried about my liver since you can live without a GB, can't live without a liver. A few people have commented on my color being off too. My liver was fine through biopsy day of surgery and now I'm told it's "fatty liver disease". Trying to figure out why so I can do something about it.

Under abdominal sonography (ultrasound) it tells you the stage (grade) of your fatty liver.. mine was grade 1, my surgeon said not to worry about it..

My father has both sludge , small stones and fatty liver grade 1; so far he's been doing good..

Fatty liver grade 1 is nothing.. so try to ask them for the grade of ur fatty liver..

If your biopsy is good then your all set and it's not cuz of liver failure or something. Your liver enzymes must hit 2ice a normal or around 500+ to say something around hepatobiliary tract might be wrong..

Your symptoms could be cuz of ur GB and not the liver..

Hang in there hope you feel better soon and hear some great news

  3. Well Its been 5 days since my gastric bypass surgery and hiatal hernia repair and I suddenly got out of breath weak and felt like I was gonna pass out .Also pain in the neck and shoulders. This is no fun

That's the laparoscopy gas if you feel it in shoulders..as soon as you pee for 3 times it will be gone.. try to drink your meal slowly.. drink it in 20-30mins or more..Also for fainting, I felt like that too so I took Iv Ringer' solution twice.. once a day till day 6.. it helped me a lot

  4. Hello Lisa, how are you doing?

first, what is the grade of your fatty liver?
Garde 1 doesn't even count my dear.. grade 2 is also mild..

Did you take medication for your GB during your wl? I have no stones but I receive ursodeoxycholic acid once a day as prophylaxis..

Also my dear do you have any pain in your upper right side of tummy? Or even the upper middle part?
Do you vomit or have GB stone symptoms?
If not, it doesn't matter at all.. no worries hon

  5. So I was wondering what was the soonest people went out to eat after surgery? I know I can go out with friends and not eat anything, but what was the soonest that you found something on the menu that you could actually eat?

    Thanks!

Two months at least for real food.. sometimes it takes more.. but for drinks(without alchohol) you can go after week 4 I guess.. but don't aim for ice creams or creamy stuff at first.. start with drinks..

  6. Hello.. I'm 8days post Op, let me tell you what I drink in a day:

Breakfast: half of a table spoon of honey+tea (in room temperature) / milk / shakes (but it should be kinda watery when you drink it)

Morning snack: half of a glass of any kind of juice(the rest is filled with water) (also it shouldn't have any pulp until you hit week 2)

    Lunch: chicken/beef/fish/anything!(lol) Soup
you can put anything in it like carrots/rice etc etc, but you are gonna only drink "the water" , sometimes I even add more Water to it..my tummy hurts less that way..(after week two you can forget about adding extra water)

Afternoon snack: another glass of juice

    Evening snack: honey+ tea

    Dinner : same as lunch

Don't forget to drink water in between [emoji173][emoji847]

And chewing gums are not allowed!.. so are drinking straws!

Also pour everything in glasses and try to take a "sip" for like every 5 mins.. finishing the glass should take you +20 mins.. (in first few days finishing them took me 1hr or so but it's better for your tummy that way)

At the end of the day, you should have drunk 8-10 glasses in total.

Ps: why are you avoiding sugar? Avoiding it can cuz ketosis and bad breath.. you are allowed to have sugar in small amounts.. also drop the candy stuff.. even sugar free ones aren't good for you now..
