    1) grow up, and for starters, fix your profile. You so far sound like a troll, and that seems to match you profile height. 2) go back and read the OP. It is specifically referencing a pre-surgery event. Read it real slow, then think about all of the diets you must have been on which brought you to where you decided to get surgery. If you still don't get it, post again and maybe I can draw a picture.

    4.5 months post-op plateau/stall

Are you asking for advise, or just looking for emotional support? If you are looking for support, there is a Slow Losers Thread that is full of well meaning people who will take you under their wings to make you feel better. if you want advise, then just look at your caloric intake for week weeks 4-6, decrease it by about 10% to make up for the lesser daily metabolic burn or your your now lower weight, and you will start shedding just like you were before. the hard part in this seems to be the transition to a more regular diet, and sometime people overshoot their goal by consuming more than they think they are. Even 300-500 calories a day too much is going to halt your loss, so keep it very lean until you hit your goal. luck!

Thanks for the advise. When I am in need of more insipid guidance I shall most certainly cc you for pre-approval. As for the rest of the audience, I am quite sure they "got it".

    Energy level

Are you on a pre-op diet? Is that what you mean by an energy drag?

    1) What the hell is vegimite? 2) If we didn't all cheat, none of us would have needed surgery

    Anyone have trouble eating?

Live the honeymoon phase as long as you can. You really don't need anything much more than the protien shakes for another couple months. Why rush eating unnecessary food. The average complaint on these boards is: I eat like a bird, and I am not losing any weight. you are the exact opposite, and you should relish the concept. You've got years ahead of you to eat good stuff. keep up the good work!

    Work.....How long were you out?

You should try to take one week off, then work 1/2 days for a week or two. That should be enough

    Dehydrated?

I was shown the easy way to test dehydration by an old time doctor in the Bahamas years ago. Just pinch the skin on the back of your hand and lift up, then release. if you instantly can't tell where your grabbed you skin, I.e. It snaps back into perfect place, you are fine. If however the skin drops a bit slowly or stays even slightly elevated for a second, you are dehydrated. if you are dehydrated , drink a 32oz Zero. If not, just drink regular water, and at least one zero a day.

    Stomach stretching

Just so we understand what you are gong through: did you say you are not drinking protien shakes, because you don't like the taste, and at the same time you are wondering why your hair is falling out? Are you getting at least 90 grams of protien every day? are you tracking your exact protien and calorie intake?
  12. Make sure you are getting enough liquids, low BP and high HR are indicative of dehydration. Your heart may be stressing trying to keep your volume/flow rate up.

Did you lose a bunch of weight, pre-surgery?

    Effect on families

And one time, at band camp.... lets all move along to something that is happening in this century.

    Effect on families

Well of course we are addicted to food. That's what food does: trigger the natural opioids in your brain, which make you want to consume. It's how all living species survive. Whats the point of your tale, to change millions of years of evolutionary development? Sorry for your problems, but this ain't it.

    Effect on families

Many reasons cause a marriage to go to ****. In some, adversity brings people closer. This was a sad tale, but I would image the Bariatric surgery was minimally causal.

3 months surgeon check up soon

I was on my rower for the past few days. 15 minutes is good in the beginning

    Hydration

Water essentially flows through an empty stomach with little or no stop, directly into the intestines. I could drink water without hesitation, after I gave my sleeve a couple of weeks to heal. So just drink in small amounts , but drink 64 oz daily.
  19. Why not just have your band removed? You have lost the weight for some period of time. Just follow the same kind of diet and call it a day? Even the sleeve is just a short term tool.

    3 Month Update

You lost 127 lbs in less than 3 months ??
  21. The bypass has a higher chance of resolving your GERD (60%+/-) vs sleeve (20%+/-) but what has the best chance, is the losing of the actual weight. So if you can lose the weight with the sleeve, it is the safest bet. Pluck!
  22. Mine required it. I was on the edge of BMI and was advised that my first appointment with the group would set my BMI for insurance purposes. I did 6 months of "training" but wasn't really concerned with weight loss (as my group follows the new science that losing weight before surgery may actually be harmful). They are of the opinion that the primary reason insurance companies make you wait 6 months, is that most people drop out. So stick with it. Luck!

    Not seeing change

I know. It's hard to say with some people. It seems impossible, but who knows.

    Not seeing change

I certainly hope this wasn't intended for me. You think someone 2 months out of surgery and hasn't lost a pound is doing OK? I did see that we haven't had any solar flares lately. Yeah that's it. That's the ticket.
