well I had no pain at all, didn't take any pain pills. Only issue was I needed help getting up and down and I tried not to bend much. Other than that it was great, but I took 2 weeks off from work because I'm a pizza delivery driver and that's a lot of movement and getting in and out of the car. (I'm in college, I had the surgery during summer)

o um, I thought most people didn't stay overnight? I got to the hospital at 7:35am, but there were like 3 people in front of me, so I had the surgery at 11, and I'm pretty sure I was done 30 minutes later. They waited for me to wake up, told me to walk, I ended up walking really easily and they were impressed and I think I was out by like 2 or 3 sooo...I wouldn't worry about it. By the way it's been a year and 3 months since my surgery, so nothing went wrong...

URG!

lol trust me. I understand. I have a boyfriend but I have other guy friends and yeah they have been awkwardly hugging/touching/paying attention to me. It's very strange. But I don't really think I could talk about that anywhere else but here lol

Hello all, just wondering because I haven't thought of this question before and haven't really read anything on it.... What's the longest you've gone on one fill? As in, how many months, years did you go before you stopped losing decent, consistent weight and needed another fill? (It's been awhile since my last fill and not quite sure if I should get another)

Well I'm between 30-40 lbs from my goal weight. I'm currently down about 95 lbs down right now. I once went 7 months without a fill...didn't lose for the first 5 months of that and then dropped like 20 lbs:D And that 7 months without a fill was only because I live up in north dakota and so that was winter lol, meaning I am 200miles from my doc and the roads suck. So who knows but I'm currently at 8cc in a 10cc band, at pretty good restriction and try telling my docs that they can do a .25 cc or .5 cc fill...ha! Yeah they are more bypass-ish people.

Ok so...I have the flu(no clue what kind as...according to the walk-in clinic doctor: I won't test you because we know it's out there; even after I told him I have hypothyroidism and a severe abscess and I live with someone on immunosuppressent meds) Anyway I woke up last night sweating, hopefully my fever was breaking a bit, but I was reallly nasueous but all that happened was I kept hic-burping like I do if I eat a food that doesn't digest well....and I pretty much haven't ate anything for the last two days as my appetite is nonexistent. Anyone else had the flu with the band?

There's no need to get so personal. Yes it's illegal. But no it is not as bad as alcohol or cigerettes or caffine for that matter. It's hard to reverse decades of propaganda out of peoples' minds. Also for the person that assumed they were talking to someone young, I find that demoralizing and extremely deragatory. It is possible to have logical reasoning skills at a young age. And it's also possible to be a self righteous bigot without consciously knowing. Both sides are being condescending towards each other and it's just wrong. There are many people out there that have the wrong information about marijuana. And likely the only reason why it's illegal both recreationally and medicinally is because it's politics. There are no politicians that are willing to put their careers on the line to stand up for it. Those politicians that do stand up for it have other differing views that keep them from being elected.

It actually stopped hurting, until this morning. Called into make the appointment after the doctor sent me a letter saying they had received a referral from my dentist...so I call and they say they haven't received my referral...AGH!!!!

Ok so, anyone else had the lapband and THEN have their wisdom teeth out? My main issues are, 1: A little curious as to how much weight I might lose(it'd be awesome if it broke my plateau even if by a pound!) 2: Did it hurt? and the most important 3. if I can't eat a lot of food, especially not solid, I'm worried about feeling like crap. For instance, one week I lost my appetite completely, lived off liquids pretty much. Didn't do it intentionly...however when my appetite returned my stomach had shrunk SOOOO much that when I tried to eat it hurt, the first bite got stuck and I felt absolutely horrible. Any suggestions as to what I can eat that won't let my pouch shrink?

BEK-totally agreed. but I'm still about 17 lbs from what I was my sophomore year...but hell I've already made it 90lbs lol...still waiting on the "you don't need to lose anymore weight" comment lol Ha! and I just got my first "Where did you go?"/disappearing comment this weekend lol

I got mine when I was 18, two months before my 19th bday...I am now 20 and 90 lbs down:)

It could be your scale...I just bought a new one and the first reading of the day is usually under or over by 2-4 lbs. I just stand on it again about 3 more times and then I always get the same reading which is my actual weight so...who knows....
