  1. I'm a season ticket holder! Morning the loss of Hall yesterday. This year has been horrible. I know I shouldn't fell bad I ONLY lost 32lbs in 9 weeks sounds pathetic but just frustrated to be in a second stall. So excited to meet another Devils fan " gotta support the team" ~ David Puddy
  2. Sim doing fine with the eating but on my second stall I lost 32lbs since surgery I didn't have a pre op diet because I needed to not gain or lose any weight for six months for my medically supervised time. Today I am 9 weeks out. I feel I should be further along . Glad you both are doing well!

    Kidney stones HELP

My hub has had them. Extremely painful! His urine needed to be strained and they do test the stones to figure out what stared them. His was Tea. He normally drinks unsweetened iced tea. At the time this happened he was heavy into green tea. Everyone is different and a urologist is the best place to go. Glad it passed for you without problems. My dad was hospitalized with one last summer that needed to be broken down too.

Foods you can no longer tolerate

Have you tried removing the seeds? I just scrape a spoon down the center take them out, then cut up the two halves into pieces. On another Note I just tried Fairlfe chocolate the weekend myself. Really awesome!

  8. Best of luck on Tuesday! Sometimes I think the challenges make you appreciate things more. I was so mad I had to wait six months for my surgery but in the end, it was just what I needed gave me time to learn and really understand and appreciate the process. Congrats to you 💚

The best part is moving through the food stages. I was so excited when I could have sugar free sugar pudding.

Has pain in my back and stomach

Walk walk walk. That's what I was told. The gas releases through your skin the more active you are the better you will feel. I hope you feel better had bad gas pains after my gallbladder surgery it was awful. Made me determined not O have it after this surgery. Do you still have your gallbladder? Back pain can be attributed to gallbladder or kidney stones too. 9 days out is a little unusual for gas pains.
  14. Please keep us posted on your progress nth inking great thoughts for you. You got this!

Thanks so much Kimberly! Today I went for my pre-op consult, blood work and ekg, then I visited my doctor. I am SO excited. It's all happening!

  15. I am eight weeks out, my nutritional visit is at 3 month post op. My nutritional info was presented pre surgery and reviewed. My first blood work is then too. This way my body has had time to adjust post surgery and provide more accurate test results I guess crazy how different everyone's team is!
  16. I was also sent home with Oxy I never took. Never needed any pain reliever luckily. I know NSAIDS are generally harsh on the stomach I'm sure short term post op not a problem but long term not good for tiny stomachs. Every doctor is different as we frequently see lol 😂

  18. Careful with aspirin. I was not allowed any pain reliever other than Tylenol which stinks and never worked for headaches for me. Actually I'm only allowed Tylenol going forward post op too! A little worried because I get migraines so I feel your pain. But I've had no headaches post op so far! Good luck you'll do great!

    Help!

Congratulations on your new blessing! Sometime seems off, I had at least four if not five pregnancy tests 4 weeks before and including the day of my surgery. Preadmission testing, urinalysis before my endoscopy, surgery clearance from my primary care blood work, and the morning of my surgery all within those 4 weeks. Thank goodness all seems ok with your baby.

    Year post-sleeve complications.

Wow what amazing success you have had. Congratulations to you! Have you checked in with your cardiologist? Are you on any medications that may need adjustment due to your weight loss? I would start there first. You don't want to play games when it comes to your heart. Best of luck!

    Newbie - BMI and insurance

I have BCBS. I too was at 40 BMI. I was not allowed to lose or gain any weight during my six month medically supervised visits. I was weighed in every month. I started the process in March, approval for surgery was not submitted until September for October VSG. If I was not the same exact weight they could have denied me (and have done so with other patients previously according to my dr). I had no pro op diet at all just liquids only the day before surger. Every insurance plan is different even within the same provider. Call your insurance directly and get the answer from them directly since they will be the ones to approve the bills when everything is said and done. Good luck ihwith your process!

    post VSG CO2 gas pain

I experienced horrible gas pain in my shoulder after my gallbladder surgery so I was extremely concerned about this one. I was prepped beforehand that the best way to avoid gas accumulation was to walk. The gas actually releases from your skin. I was up immediately after surgery walking the halls of the hospital. It made a huge difference, no gas, and really helped me with my healing. Just add a little more distance each time you go. I thought I was never going to be able to handle the walking that quickly, but it really was not bad at all.
