I think my low point was when it had been almost a year since I had my heart attack I was then diagnosed with diabetes. My primary care physician asked me if I wanted a referral to weight loss surgery. That's when it hits me. I have to do something or I could die and leave my 10 year old son without me. I am just starting my journey. I haven't made up my mind if I am going to do the surgery. I'm leaning towards the gastric sleeve. This whole journey scares me but I know I have to do something or my health is going to get worst. I know I have to live a healthier lifestyle. I haven't told most of my family and a few friends. I'm a little worried about what they may say. I know I need support to make it through this journey.
