  1. TOMORROW IS MY DAY!

I am so very excited! My sister is here with me and my son. I am so excited. My anesthesiologist called me tonight to discuss our plans for tomorrow. I am not feeling nervous at all. Just excited for the future!

I did buy a few bottles of CFpreop which is really suppose to help you stay hydrated. It's pricey but I feel it's worth it. I tried the Watermelon tonight. I have to stop all liquids after midnight and I go into the hospital at 5:30am for check in. My surgery is at 8am.

    SO HAPPY for this journey!

You can get the CFpreop on Amazon if anyone is interested. It comes in Watermelon and White Grape.

  4. 2 Days Till Surgery!

It's time! Time to start my clear liquids! I am prepared! Tomorrow I will only take in clear protein, bone broth and jello for the next two days.

My surgery will be done on Monday, December 9th at 8:00 AM. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM (EWWW) but who cares? LOL. Funny how you don't get all upset about doing things that are not so fun when you are doing it for a purpose!
    .
I don't plan on doing much this weekend. I have one errand to do and after that is over I will return to my hotel room and go into prayer and meditation. Believer or not, you got to do what you need to do in order to get your heart and mind in a healthy place.
    .
I have a Pre-Op drink I ordered that is supposed to really help your body hydrate before surgery. It's not in the photo just because I don't have it in my hands yet. I will put photos of it up when I get it.
    .
All I can think about it how blessed I am to be able to get this done. I know how it feels to be healthy and happy then have it snatched away. It makes this all the more joyful for me.
    .
So, it's time to lay it down and start letting my mind process what we are getting ready to do.
    .
By the way...funny story. My doc said he had to cancel a surgery because his patient said she thought "Mashed Potatoes" was a clear food! Um, there will be no mashed potatoes for me! LOL This is HAPPENING!
    .
Last thought for today: I knew when they drew my blood yesterday it was going to leave a nasty bruise and I was right. I am so sensitive to that kind of stuff.

    Coconut Milk

I'm PRE-OP (Dec 9th surgery date) and I am checking with my nutritionist as well but I like to chat with my peeps in here. Do any of you use coconut milk post-op to mix with your protein drinks, etc. (Light of course) . I know clears are before. Just reading over my booklet again today. (LORD I AM OBSESSED WITH READING IT) I don't see it.

    Vitamin Patches

Hey my lovelies! Has/Does anyone use the vitamin patches? My sleeve surgery date is Dec 9th and I was wondering if I should start off with the vitamin patches instead of pills or liquid. If you have, what are your thoughts? Which brand did you use and where did you get the best price? Thanks

New to this page. Had sleeve done 11/15/19

Welcome! I’m scheduled for Dec 9th. It’s a process. Just rest and monitor
  9. Hell errrrbody! When I was banded in 2009 I was on this platform daily and making some pretty awesome friends, pretty fast. LOL It seems this time around I'm a lonely painter living in a box of paints. (bonus points for who knows where I got that from?) I am active, been chatting and looking and responding but it seems pretty quiet for me. Maybe it's just me but I sure do like talking to folk about their experiences, fears, achievements, disappointments, etc. I am being sleeved Dec. 9th, 2019 by Dr. Matthew Metz in Denver Colorado
  10. SO super stoked about how close this is going to happen. Pulled out my suitcase and I'm starting to prep for my journey. I leave next week.

@november11 I super love how you named yourself after your date! LOL I had to laugh even though I know it's not funny, when things ain't moving out of the body it's a miserable thing! Well I had my appointment with the group nutritionist and since I am self pay I do not have to be on liquid too long pre-op. But even with my band I was only on clear liquids a few days. So Dec. 6th I start the clear liquids. I am preping myself. Since I had the band before I kinda know that part of it. So I have weaned off coffee and sugar already. I am SUPER UBER excited and so ready to feel happy in my body again. I'm following you!

Right, this is my 2nd surgery and I was so vocal about my band so when it failed I started hearing the crappy comments from people. I see this as a safe haven for me. I totally feel you about the emotional journey! It's going to be interesting to see the differences from the band to the sleeve.
