Actually I got both hips replaced a year apart at 300 + lbs. Yes I was over hospital weight restrictions but got a pass. MediCal paid for both.

Stage 3 CKF. pain meds gave my kidneys a real hit. pre op Creatinine 1.31 GFR 56, Next day post op . Creatinine 1.86 ! GFR 38 ! 9 days post op Creatinine 1.26 GFR 59 . -

It would not be in your blood serum if you were not absorbing it, I had high levels i was getting to much through all my vitimins and supplements . -

If you want a little black coffee during finals it won't do a thing, go for it ! 0 coffee 3 days prior and at least 30 days post you will be just fine , + what Karlee Al and Ivida said. I stopped 2 day pre op and wll wait 6-8 weeks ( a healing stappleline loves an + alkaline lower P H environment .) untill I bring it back. Love my morning coffee ! -

Walking/standing after drinking anything will help keep yur funnel/sleeve empty. You want to keep the funnel empty while meeting the fluid/nutrition goals. 4 1/2 days out , no problems or real pain with that strategy . -

4 DAYS OUT , SAME WITH ME ON WATER AND SHAKES. FUNNEL EFFECT. DOESN'T WORK WITH THICK SOUPS OR SOLIDS THOUGH. -
