I'm feeling pretty good! I've dropped 14 pounds so far as well...haven't lost any in the last few days...but I know that it's common for it to slow down before you get a fill.

I am a singer and a pianist...and play a little guitar and can play a little on most band instruments. I teach elementary music right now and do private piano and voice lessons after school. It's fun...sometimes I can't believe I get to do this for my job. How about you? Are you a musician?

I see you are into music and the arts...I'm a music teacher and musician so it seems we'd probably have some things in common. I'm sorry to read that you have such severe arthritis...I can't imagine living with that day to day. Anyways, looks like we were banded pretty close together to. How is everything going for you?

I'm still doing good. Did finally have some gas pain on Wednesday and had some pretty uncomfortable moments, but today I'm not really sore, maybe a little around the port, but feeling really good. I was very tired after going back to work Thursday and Friday, would come home and crash for hours!

I am on pureed foods now....I don't really get a full feeling from them, nor do I from liquids...so it's hard to keep from drinking a lot. But I'm not that hungry either, so it's okay.

How's your sunburn?

I had surgery yesterday morning, and it went great. I pretty much didn't have any gas pain, but I still got and walked around a lot. At first they were telling me I'd be staying the night, but my surgeon came by about 7 p.m. and was impressed I was up walking around, so he said I could go home if I wanted to. It took the nurses forever to get my discharge stuff together, so we left about 10 p.m. I slept pretty good last night because my pain medicine knocks me out, but I woke up with a headache because I slept in one position all night, so I felt all stiff. I've been pretty sleepy all day because of the pain meds, but I figure sine I don't have gas pain it's not too bad that I've been sleeping alot.

Overall, I'm very happy and feel very lucky that I am feeling so good at this point. Wouldn't want to be going anywhere just yet, but I'm able to get up and walk around and use the bathroom whenever I feel like it.

Good to hear from you! I'm glad you had your surgery...when I didn't hear anything for a while I got worried! Sounds like you zipped right through surgery with no problems. How are you feeling now?

Wow...congratulations on that amazing weight loss! I am not yet banded...just finished my six months of supervised weight loss (lost a whole, like, eight pounds...). I am anxiously awaiting my surgeon's insurance lady to get back with me about what all I need to bring to her to submit to insurance. I've e mailed her twice this week and have not gotten a response yet...am about ready to just pile up what I think I need and just take it to her. I've done all this work to jump through the insurance hoops and I'm ready to get the ball ROLLING!!!
