  5. Hello everyone I'm new here, I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery on December 3rd everything was going well but alot has happened. I found out my husband was cheating on me with another woman online! Make along story short my teen boys and I moved from Georgia back home to CT to be with family.  But with being said my weight loss has stalled I'm losing inches but not weight and I feeling blah.  I'm meeting my new Bariatric surgeon this Thursday and my Nutritionist too. But I just cant get out of this funk and suggestions to start feeling better again? Thank me

  9. I'm contemplating getting rid of my now ridiculously large clothes. For me it's big step to let go and just do it. My old clothes are like a safety net that I want to keep, but something tells me if I keep that safety net then I will go back up to my old weight.

GET RID OF THEM !! You will NOT be needing them EVER ….Go to local thrift shops and get inexpensive good clothes because you will be changing sizes so quickly that is makes no sense to buy expensive .

  10. First long walk after major depressing event. If I had been my old self, I would have been crying myself to sleep in a Ben and Jerry's by now. Instead, no tears and meal shakes have been my go to. Not doing perfect, but one day at a time. It's amazing how much easier it is to deal with events like this when you are not hating your own body as much. I wonder if this is how normal people feel.

  11. I'm having a really tough time at work and the boss has called me in for a meeting tomorrow, and Im literally concerned for my job. The question is how do I keep on my road towards weight loss. With all the stress, my dinners probably keep getting bigger and bigger and Im not talking my morning dogs walks like I used to. Yes, Im still down a lot of pounds, but it's these types of situations that got me into the big numbers to begin with. I really need to handle this one better. I dont want to scew up my body with this second chance that Ive been given.

  12. I am sitting here in AWE of this past week. I have done well. I am able to get all my liquids in and I am not hungry and my progress is steady!

Today was my first week post-op nutritionist meeting. I have been released to the next phase! So I can look forward to sugar-free puddings, low-fat cottage cheese, creamed soups, eggwhites, humus, and pureed/refried beans. NOTHING with chunks, seeds or spicy.

In addition to that I am still to get 48 ounces of CLEAR liquids in (broth, water, decaf tea) And I am suppose to have my vitamins as well as my protein shakes! Right now I am just loving Muscle Milk. It’s 25 grams of protein per bottle. I love chocolate but I find the chocolate one seems a bit too thick for me at this phase. So I am drinking the Vanilla Creme and Banana Creme.

This morning I had 1 ounce of Kettle and Fire Butternut Squash Soup with is made with bone broth! So yummy!

    15lbs down

No no no ...You have come too far and gone through too much to let anyone ..not even yourself sabotage this journey .. put ALL situations on time out ,walk the dog, go back to basics with the dinners ,do yoga, breathing exercises whatever you have to do and as far as the job goes it is my experience that bosses as well as others can smell lack of confidence and if anything that's the problem. So GET IT TOGETHER,YOU GOT THIS......

  14. I drank for the first time yesterday. I only took 2 sips of a vodka and cranberry drink and I was truly buzzed. I finished that drink and felt pretty hammered. Funny thing is though I ate something and it seem to all go away. I was at an event so 30 mins later I had another drink and it went the same as the first, had one more and I didn't seem to get really drunk but quite buzzed really quickly. More food came out, I ate and my buzz was gone almost completely. Once again after 30 minutes I had yet one more drink with the same affect. The final round of food came out later that night and I partook and it cleared it up again. I then switched to water and was perfectly fine, as though I hadn't drank a thing all night.

I can see after last night how this could become a replacement addiction for some. It's interesting how it affects people differently.

@AJ Tylo I feel you and it's your dime . vodka and cranberry and I were very good friends I realize there are some things are worth the repercussions I was just meaning that this is your honeymoon phase of weightloss and the first six months or so is where we make it or brake it . so why not give your body the chance to do what you paid all this money to do. The drinks will always be their. No judgement I'M JUST SAYING.....
