    My third surgiversary!

That’s true success story. To maintain loss & look so healthy & certainly in shape! Congratulations!
  2. Took good 6 weeks to feel like myself again
  3. Happy it worked out for you. Where are you located? I’m in So FL. Most restaurants are not doing dining in. Doing take out or delivery.
  4. I drink only Premier. I use vanilla in my coffee. Use regularly Cafe Latte, caramel, peaches & cream, bananas & cream. Tired of chocolate for now. Get from Costco when on sale. Otherwise get from Amazon. But compare prices from different sellers as can vary. I occasionally use Peach clear protein. Need to use 1/2 & mix with water or too sweet
  5. A lot of Italian menus have on appetizers or side order of meatballs. Have them serve with everyone’s dinner. Just take rest home. Enjoy!

    Dehydrated And Low Blood sugar

Yikes. That’s a lot of whining. Crying & mental breakdowns. And you’re only 2 weeks out. Let’s toughen up a bit. You can do this! It’s not a walk in the park but it will be worth it. And yes it does get better. Just keep at it. You must drink. Sip at a time. Doesn’t this great early weight loss give you incentive?
  7. I never peed so much starting about 2 days after surgery. Couldn’t go at all right after surgery. Your body has to chill out a bit.

    No goal weight?

My doctor gave one final goal & I thought lower. So I’m picking range within 15 lbs. But will be flexible with how I look & feel & listen to my body. But not focusing on that goal yet. Along the journey I give myself small achievable goals. Baby steps. Also since I was initially obsessed with scale & if didn’t move down I would be disappointed. So now I’m trying to weigh only 1x week.

    Bat Wings

My upper arms have always been big. Stopped wearing tank tops @ 21 when my male cousin flicked my arm fat & called them “grandmother arms”! I’m now 66 & live in So FL so it’s plenty hot. Surprisingly I lost quickly in my upper arms. But I will always still have bat wings. Just joined Planet Fitness & I’m determined to work out in active tanks. Bat wings be dammed!
  10. Happy for you! Welcome to your new life. But damn male weight loss vs female!😩

    Side effect and skin sagging

Even though I am no expert I would think at your age of 22 you would have best chance of minimal sagging skin. I’m 65 & just had GS in Sept. so I understand my likelihood of possible sagging. I’ll deal with it when I get to goal. Meanwhile I’m looking forward to getting healthy& extending my life. And FYI - I’m single & this old baby boomer is still conscience of what my body will look like!

    Back to normal life?

When others think having surgery is easy way out- luckily there aren’t many- I tell them everything about food has changed for me. When I eat- what I eat & how I eat are totally different now. But in my eyes it’s a GOOD different. A healthy different. Even though I’m only a little more than 3 months out from GS it’s pretty much 2nd nature now. There’s still a lot of food I won’t eat yet I.e. most carbs I still feel I’m not missing much. I eat when I’m hungry not when I’m bored which is major change. I do miss occasional cocktail or my glass of wine but eventually I may try a little down the road. This is major commitment that is so worth it. And I’m not the fastest loser but as my support group mantra states “Trust the process” you will get there. As of this AM I’m down 38.5 lbs & 12 inches. I’m sure during this holiday season plus my birthday is in 2 weeks I would have gained!

    Stall-B-Gone

Glad to read info about stall. My surgeon says I’m losing slowly but at least I’m going downward. Except when I got bronchitis that kicked in my asthma & had to get 2 steroid shots to breathe. Literally overnight gained 4 lbs.! Took couple of days for it to come off & now losing extra slow. Was out last night & everyone said I lost a lot of inches. So will accept that & TRY to stay off scale! Happy Holidays to all

    Weight loss

I had GS 9/23. Lost 38 lbs. There are going to be ups & downs. It still surprises me when I don’t lose when I’m eating so little. Then I got bronchitis which affected my asthma. Had to get 2 steroid shots. After 1st shot literally gained 4 lbs overnight. Tried not to freak out & just kept to the plan. My surgeon says I’m losing slow but as long as I keep moving downward which I am now. In my support group our mantra is “trust the process”. Just hang in there.

    Weight Standstill

In my support group- one of our mantras is trust the process. I’ve never been fast loser. But I’m steadily losing. Then of course having to take 2 steroid shots from having bronchitis that affected my asthma showed 4 lb weight gain literally overnight! Tried not to panic. It came off but it was definite set back in overall weight loss. Nothing I could do but just keep moving forward.
  16. Interesting. where we can do this?

    Weight Standstill

Got Bronchitis that affected my asthma. Needed to get dreaded steroid shot. Gained 4 lbs overnight! Hope it comes off & then doesn’t produce stall. Never had that Initial 2-5 week stall. I’m about 10 weeks out.
  18. I see open fields but it will not let me enter data. Might try on my PC vs phone

    Going out to eat...

I’ve had no problem eating out at all. Usually order from appetizers or side orders. Tapas places are good too as mostly small plates. Good side affect. Saving lots of money on just ordering appetizers!

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

So you can’t ask questions if your newbie or sophomore? Jeez. If your more experienced you should be able to help others & not tell them to go elsewhere. When I get to maintenance I would welcome newer peers to guide & mentor them. I would be excited to help them on the journey I’ve already experienced. That’s just me. Thanks though for answer re my question on stats.
